Jungkook glanced to his side where the voice came from. A guy around Jungkook's age was standing next to him. By examining his mannerism Jungkook can tell the guy was kinda feminine and also quite seductive.
His eyes coaxing with desire and eros. A very dark alluring look masking his face. He was quite shorter than Jungkook and has a petite figure. Kinda similar to Jimin.
Jungkook
(Knitted his brows and cleared his throat) Yeah, joining from tomorrow.
He answered the guy, but without looking at him.
100th-anniversary party. Jimin was standing next to his husband, in the front, close to the stage. Where Jungkook rather chose to stay beside the counter where all the expensive drinks are.
Jungkooks eyes were still glued to his best friend's husband, Kim Taehyung. Does he feel guilty or disgusted for shamelessly eye-fcking his best friend's husband?
It's like, he doesn't even have any emotions towards others except for himself.
Jungkook froze on his spot when he felt someone squeezing his biceps, feeling him. He crooked his brows and slowly turn his head towards the same guy from before.
saem
(seductive smirk) You're quite built.
Jungkook glared down at the guy, solely unimpressed by the guy's actions.
saem
My name is Saem, by the way.
Jungkook
And I don't fcking care!
Jungkook spat out in a harsh tone as he yanked back his arm from the guy called Saem.
Jungkook
And here me out, don't you dare fcking touch me. I don't like random people touching me. So better be careful from next time.
He exclaimed with a glare. Anger lacing through his whole feature as he brushed the spot where the guy touched him.
Jungkook fixed his shirt and covered himself by wearing the navy blue blazer that was placed over his forearm the whole time. He gave one last glare to Saem before turning around. But before he could walk away, the said guy's voice stopped him again.
saem
Quite bad-tempered, aren't you, sir?
Saem said in an incredibly sensual voice. Jungkook scrunched his face into a shade of disgust as he slowly turns his head towards the guy with disbelief lacing through his face.
Jungkook didn't said anything, he just stares at the guy with big round eyes, dumbfounded, before he shakes his head and stormed away from there.
Jungkook
Fcking weirdos everywhere!
He grumbles under his breath as he seethes out of the place.
Taehyung
At last, I'd like to thank the SK law firm for finding me worthy enough to invite me to this 100th-anniversary party, as their special guest. Thank you.
Taehyung ended his speech with a warm smile. The hall room roared with clapping sounds.
Jungkook slowly raised his hands and clapped too while keeping his eyes on Taehyung who was climbing down the stairs and immediately greeted with a group of people.
Jungkook took a sip from his champagne, eyes never leaving Taehyung's figure as a vicious smirk spread over his lips.
Jimin
You're looking evil smirking like that, you know that? What's on your mind?
Jungkook's attention was snatched away from Taehyung at the familiar voice of his best friend
Jungkook
Your husband, (Jungkook replied boldly. Seeing the oblivious look on Jimin's face, his smirk widened.) Am just joking, bestie.
Of course, he lied because his full attention since he stepped into this party was on Taehyung and only Taehyung. But he can't confess it to Jimin, now can he? Jungkook took another sip from his champagne while eyeing Jimin with a sneaky smirk.
He senses someone coming towards them from his peripheral vision so he looks in the direction and saw Taehyung walking towards them. Jungkook rolled his eyes when he saw the CEO straight went to his husband and wrapped his arm around Jimin's small back.
Taehyung
Are you enjoying the party, Jungkook?
Jungkook
Oh, believe me, I am
Jungkook replied, a little too sarcastically but it got unnoticed by the married couple.
Taehyung
Baby, where are you going?
Taehyung asked Jimin from behind as they climb off the stairs of the law firm. The party is already over and now it's time for them to leave.
Jungkook, who was also climbing off the stairs, slowed down his pace and pretended to walk, definitely not to overhear their conversation, of course.
Jimin
(Jimin replied while pointing at his car with his thumb) to my car?!
Taehyung
(Frowned at that, his eyebrows knitting together) Yeah I know but me, your husband is here? You can always leave this car here or tell the driver to take it.
Jimin
And why would I do that if I can drive by myself?
Taehyung
(little upset) Don't you want to come with me?
Jimin instantly looked away from Taehyung and sighed heavily. He shoved both of his hands inside the holes of his pocket and hold a tough look on his face.
On the other side, Jungkook was standing right next to the cab Jimin already reserved for him. 'pretending' to use his phone while in reality he just wants to overhear his best friend and his husband's conversation
Now, Jungkook is not a person who does things like eavesdropping on people's conversation unless it's for his own goddamn business or safety. But he did sense something off between his best friend and the CEO.
So he felt like doing some spying on them won't hurt. And the fact that Kim Taehyung already captured him into a bubble of temptation by his charm wasn't helping at all.
Jimin
(coldly) I have something important to do,
Taehyung
(Annoyed) And what is it?
Jimin
(coldly) I have some files to work on for my next case
Taehyung
(Scoffs) Is that your excuse?
Jimin
(Furrowed brows) What do you mean 'excuse'?
Taehyung
(Snapped in a slightly harsh tone. His thick brows creased together in anger) Jimin, you know I know that we're always busy and barely have time for each other. Now that we are having the opportunity to spend some quality time with each other, you're finding excuses?
Taehyung
You should be finding excuses to be with me but instead, you always try to find excuses to be away from me. Can you tell me when was the last time we slept together in the same bed? Okay, scratch it. Can you tell me when was the last time you came home?
Jungkook raised his one eyebrow and tilted his head to the side at hearing the new information.
Jungkook
(mumbled) So, they are really not on good terms?
Jimin
(Gritted teeth and glared) It's because I'm busy, Taehyung! Now lower your voice, don't make a scene here
Taehyung
(Bittersweet tone and rolled his eyes) Of course, you're busy, so busy that you don't even find time to come home for weeks. You're so busy that you don't even find time to visit me, your own husband
Taehyung
I'm a CEO too, Jimin. I have thousands of responsibilities too but I still try to find time for you
Taehyung
What do you want me to do now? You know my work is my priority.
Taehyung scoffed and let out a dry laugh at hearing his husband's statement
Taehyung
Your work is your priority and I'm not? Do you know what I feel like in your life? An old memory, doing nothing but collecting dust.
Taehyung let out bitterly. Jaw clenched together so hard even his veins are evident through his tan skin.
Jimin
(Unbothered) Do you have anything else to say? I'm running out of time
Taehyung stared down at his husband for some seconds with disbelief in his eyes before he clicked his tongue and walked past him. He opened his car door, slammed it shut, and stormed away from there.
Jungkook also didn't waste any time. He shoved his phone into the pocket of his slacks and got into the car.
Jungkook set in the backseat as the driver starts the car. Jungkook stares into space for a few seconds before he raised an eyebrow, a smirk plastering over his small lips.
Jungkook
Seems like things aren't going to be as challenging as I thought
