Jungkook glanced up from behind the counter and caught Taehyung staring again.

He quickly looked down, pretending to sort the napkins.

Taehyung always looked at him like that...like he was something interesting....Special....Beautiful

No one had ever looked at him like that before

When Taehyung finally got up and walked over, Jungkook was wiping a tray with a cloth, pretending not to be nervous.

Umm... (Taehyung said, holding something behind his back)

(Blinks in suprise) For ..... Me ?

Taehyung nodded and slowly held out his sketchbook. It was turned to a page...a pencil drawing that made Jungkook’s breath catch in his throat.

It was him. Baking behind the counter, sunlight all around him. His eyes soft, a little dreamy. It didn’t feel like a drawing.

It felt like Taehyung’s version of him.

Jungkook didn’t speak at first.

His chest was warm, too warm. His eyes stung just a little.

He looked up at Taehyung who looked a little nervous now and whispered

No one’s ever… drawn me before... (eyes getting teary due to happiness)

Jungkook felt his heart skip so hard it almost hurt. The feeling...The warmth...

He looked back down at the drawing and held it gently, like it might tear if he breathed too hard.

Thankyou (he whispered) .... Really... (looks at Taehyung)

Taehyung didn’t say anything, but his eyes were soft and steady. Like he meant every word.

And Jungkook who was always so quiet and careful could feel something inside him blooming slowly.
