Jungkook was quietly working in his study the only sound in the room being the soft clicking of his laptop keys. His brows were furrowed, eyes focused—but his mind kept drifting back to the boy sleeping in his bed.

Then suddenly a soft trembling voice broke the silence.

Jungkook's fingers paused mid-type.....He looked up.

There standing at the edge of the bed was the small boy Taehyung. His eyes were wide, filled with confusion, tears and fear. He was looking around the unfamiliar room hugging his small frame like he was lost in a strange world.

Jungkook stood up slowly not wanting to scare him more.

But the moment Taehyung saw him moving he flinched and took a step back ready to run.

His big eyes welled up with tears. His lips wobbled..Jungkook sighed heart clenching at the sight.

He gently reached out and pulled the trembling boy into a soft hug rubbing his small back in slow circles.

But slowly his sobs softened.The warmth of Jungkook’s hug was something he had never felt before. It was safe… soft… kind.

His little hands clutched Jungkook’s shirt, and after a few more seconds he snuggled into the older's chest.
