CHAPTER 2 : UNKNOWN MAFIA
Twenty minutes later, she arrived at Division 9 headquarters. The briefing room was dark, lit only by the soft glow of a few desk lamps. The silence in the air felt heavier now. She had completed the mission, but the feeling of unease lingered. Something was wrong. The way the men had shown up earlier—it didn’t feel like coincidence. But there was no time to dwell on it now. She needed to report to Chief Ranveer.
Inside the briefing room, she found him seated behind his desk, his sharp eyes studying a few files. He didn’t look up as she entered. He never did.

*cold * Report
He said flatly, as if expecting her.

*cold*Ishaan Kaur and his men are dealt with. The intel on the arms shipment is secured.
Ishita reported, her tone crisp.
Ranveer didn’t respond right away. Instead, he sat there, as if pondering something. He finally looked up at her, his gaze calculating.
Chief Ranveer
*nodded* Good. But there’s another assignment for you. One that could be much bigger. And riskier.
Ishita didn’t flinch. She was used to dangerous assignments.

What’s the mission?
Chief Ranveer slid a thick file across the table to her. She opened it immediately. Inside were photos of blurred faces, grainy security footage, and cryptic notes. A series of criminals, each one seemingly connected by nothing more than a series of unsolved murders, drug deals, and black-market arms trades. But there was one thing that tied them all together.
Just a single, chilling phrase.

*frown* What’s this? Another faceless criminal?

*Expression darkened* Worse than that. The Mafia Leader has no name, no face. He’s a ghost. We’ve been tracking him for months, and all we know is that he’s connected to the Chandravanshi family.
Ishita’s mind raced. The Chandravanshis. The name was synonymous with wealth, power, and secrecy. They were untouchable—an old-money family that controlled everything from politics to business. But the criminal underworld was their domain as well, and they were feared by everyone who crossed their path. Viraj Chandravanshi, the patriarch, was an enigma. We suspect it’s one of Viraj’s grandson's— Veeranshu, The business tycoon of the world; Shaurya, his pillar; or the youngest, Aryan, both brother's life. They’re all tied to the family business in some way, but we don’t know which one is the leader of the criminal empire.
Ishita leaned back in her chair, processing the information.

So, I have to figure out which of the three brothers is behind this?
Chief Ranveer
Exactly *nodded his head* Find out which one is the Mafia Leader and bring them down.
Ishita stared at the file, the faces of the three brothers staring back at her. They seemed so ordinary—nothing like the criminals she was used to chasing. But she knew appearances could be deceiving. Viraj Chandravanshi was a shadowy figure, a powerful force with connections in every dark corner of the world. His grandsons, whoever they were, had to be just as dangerous.

As she left the briefing room, she felt the weight of the mission settle on her shoulders. She had tracked and eliminated criminals before, but this? This was different. The Chandravanshi family wasn’t just a criminal enterprise—they were a legacy.
And finding the Mafia Leader among them would be more dangerous than anything she had ever done before.
