Episode 6: “Mine to Keep”
It started with a laugh.
Not hers. Not his.
Another guy’s.
And that’s all it took to ignite the slow burn of something darker in Alex’s chest.
He had walked past the open student lounge on his way to the library when he heard it—Jiva’s laugh. Light, breathy, real. The sound he’d heard in gasps and moans under him was now being shared with someone else.
He didn’t mean to stop. Didn’t mean to look.
But he did.
Jiva sat on the worn blue couch, legs crossed, textbook on her lap. Beside her sat a boy—young, confident, the kind of guy who didn’t think twice before putting his hand on her shoulder as he leaned in to point something out in her book.
She smiled at him. Giggled.
Alex’s jaw clenched.
The student said something else, and Jiva leaned closer, her hand brushing his.
No.
Alex stepped into the room without a second thought.
“Jiva,” he said, voice calm but cold.
She froze, eyes snapping up to meet his. Her lips parted slightly, surprise flickering across her face. Then, understanding.
“Professor Hartley,” she said smoothly. Too smoothly.
The boy turned too, giving Alex a quick, awkward smile.
“Hey, Professor.”
Alex ignored him.
“Can I see you for a moment?”
Jiva blinked, then stood. “Sure.”
She followed him out, her back straight, her eyes unreadable.
They didn’t stop walking until they were alone—back in the small faculty supply room at the far end of the corridor. Alex shut the door behind them and turned to her.
“What the hell was that?”
Jiva raised a brow. “What was what?”
He stepped closer. “Don’t play innocent. That guy had his hands all over you.”
“He touched my shoulder, Alex. We were studying.”
“You were laughing.”
“I’m allowed to laugh,” she said softly, but there was steel in her tone now. “I’m allowed to have friends.”
Alex’s eyes darkened. “You’re mine.”
Jiva blinked.
“Say it,” he demanded. “Say you belong to me.”
A silence stretched between them.
Then she smiled—a dangerous, slow smile.
“You’re jealous.”
He didn’t respond.
“You think just because you’ve had me, you own me now?”
He moved quickly—pinning her to the door, his body flush against hers, his hand curling around her throat.
“I do own you. Don’t forget who made you come screaming his name. Who had you dripping for more. You think that boy could make you feel half of what I did?”
Jiva’s breath hitched.
“No,” she whispered. “Only you.”
He kissed her then—hard, possessive, desperate. His hands slid under her sweater, yanking it up, exposing her bra.
“You want to test me, baby?” he murmured against her lips. “Want to see what I do when someone touches what’s mine?”
“Yes,” she breathed. “Show me.”
The supply room was cramped, but it didn’t matter. He lifted her onto the low counter, yanked her jeans down, and buried himself inside her in one rough thrust.
Jiva gasped, hands gripping the shelves behind her.
He didn’t give her time to adjust. He needed this—needed to stake his claim again. Every thrust was punishment and pleasure, his fingers digging into her hips, his breath hot against her neck.
“You like making me jealous?” he growled.
“Yes—yes!” she moaned.
“You want me to lose control?”
“Please—don’t stop…”
He pounded into her harder, deeper, until she was crying out, her nails raking down his back through his shirt.
And when she came, he followed—grunting her name as he emptied himself inside her, his forehead pressed to hers.
They stayed like that for a moment. Tangled. Breathing hard.
Then she pulled back slightly, eyes gleaming.
“You’re obsessed with me,” she said softly.
Alex didn’t deny it.
“You’ve ruined me,” he whispered. “And I don’t even care.”
Later that night, Jiva lay in her dorm bed, staring at the ceiling.
The encounter still buzzed in her blood.
The look in his eyes when he saw her with that boy—so fierce, so raw—had thrilled her in ways she didn’t expect. It wasn’t just sex anymore. It was power. Control. Need.
And something deeper she didn’t want to name yet.
She touched her lips. They still tingled from his kiss.
Her phone buzzed.
Alex: Come to my house tomorrow. After your last class. I need more of you.
She smiled.
So did she.
