PROLOGUE

POV of shota

God who created earth by his strength, gave breath to all living creatures, he gave us world with unlimited colours to possess and every ruler ls him in image..

O, God! Shield me from darkness that makes soul fall apart, fill my heart with longing for love and give us mercy and forgiveness for sins we have to bear!

Oh Tamar! Queen of queens! Using swords and shields adore and Suit you..jet haired and ruby cheeked, how can I dare to say anything to you?

Everyone praises you and I am no different, I used lake of jet as ink and cry as I write!

I was told to compose for you , praise your eyebrows and lashes! Hair and mouth!

give mind to my tongue and power like those three heroes who faithfully stayed together!

Come! sit with me and cry! Cry for tariel as he sheds his tears! There won't be anyone born like him!

Story of him.. told in Persian and translated in Georgian, I heard it and made poem for her, precious as pearl! one you need to cherish and protect by hand..

so let her who robbed my heart judge it!

I , rustaveli compose poems..I obey her who leads armies, im sickened by love for her and there is no cure!

When my eyes deprive light of her eyes, it longs to meet it again! But man do not complain about fate..let warrior be brave, and let worker enjoy his labour.

Poetry is divine branch of wisdom! It soothes ear of listener, poem is proof of poet's power.. therefore he should seek words as air..

But poem is supposed to say long story short..that the point of it..and it's what I'm doing!

Poet should dedicate his work to someone he thinks life is worth living for, dedicate it to love, but you know what I don't consider as love?

I hate love with lusty kissing and hugging! Love is when your are in absence from them..and Continue to love and miss them!

Lover has the most suffering in the world..and he should bear it without making it true, he shouldn't expose his love and put his lover's name in shame!

instead! He faints whenever hearing her name, burning in love and keeping it to himself!

there is opinion about Shota loving king Tamar..he was working in presence of royals so there is big possibility for it..even prologue points to it..
