## *SCENE: ASTRID'S BEDROOM 2:15 AM*
The moonlight filters through the curtain. Astrid sits on the floor, pulling open a hidden drawer She lifts
She walks upstairs -to the rooftop
### *Scene:
ROOFTOP - 2:30 AM*
Astrid sits on the ledge, hugging her knees. The sky is vast and lonely.
She clicks the recorder. A woman's voice **clear, strong, ethereal**-floats through the night.
*Recorded Voice (Mom)*: "Hush now, little fighter
Close your eyes
Don't cry I'm here beside your shadow Till the stars kiss the sky...'
Astrid begins to sing with it. Her voice-soft at first -rises slowly, raw with emotion. Their voices blend. It's a duet of past and present, of pain and peace.
The night air stills
### *Scene:
SCARLET'S ROOM SAME TIME*
Scarlet stirs in bed. She hears something faint... music.
She walks to her window, slowly opens it. Her eyes widen when she sees Astrid on the rooftop, her face turned to the stars, singing with the recorder.
SCARLETT FERNANDEZ (female lead)
Scarlet's POV (internal)
SCARLETT FERNANDEZ (female lead)
That voice... It doesn't sound like the Astrid I know. It sounds like someone... broken. And beautiful.
She doesn't move. She doesn't speak. She just listens, a silent witness to a girl who never lets anyone see her fall apart.
