Campus garden, afternoon break. Mia, Alice and Steve sit on the grass, drinks in hand, laughing like old times

Mia

Wow, it's been forever since we just chilling like this

Alice

Yeah.... feels normal again

Steve

Guess we all needed a break from a drama

Ryan

(walking up, smug as ever) well, what do we have here?, the happy trio

Alice's smile fades slightly, Steve tenses, but say nothing

Ryan

Still playing bodyguard, Steve? (he smirks, eyes narrowing)

Ryan

Or.. Are you the officially the boyfriend now?

Steve

No comment (his tone flet, avoiding eye contact)

Ryan

(turning to Alice) How about dinner tonight? Just us

Ryan

Or are you too busy playing house?

Alice

(quietly) Ryan.... Not here

Ryan

(mocking tone) oh right, wouldnt want lover boy getting jealous

Mia

(muttering) god, i hate this guy

Alice

(sighs, then nods) fine, one drink, that's it

Steve looks at her sharply, She avoid his gaze

Evening

Steve walking alone in the bar district. He notices someone through the window of a cozy bar

Inside, alice sits across from ryan, she's laughing just a little to hard. Ryan leans closer, Alice don't pulls away

Steve

(From outside, stopping in his tracks) ....Really? (his fist clench, jaw tight)

He watches silently as Ryan tucks a loose strand of Alice's hair behind her ear. She flinches slightly but doesn't stop him

Steve turns around, walking off into the night without saying a word

Alice glancing towards the window

Steve's already gone




