Say You’re Mine
Setting: Temple-Side Riverbank Near College | Last Evening Before Semester Break
The sun dipped low behind the banyan trees as temple bells chimed softly in the distance. The stone riverbank beside the old temple was nearly empty, bathed in orange light and the scent of incense drifting through the air.
Siyara sat on the wide steps, barefoot, her anklets silent, toes brushing the river’s edge. The water shimmered under the fading light.
Siyara Banerjee.FL.
*She looked peaceful—until she heard his voice.*
Yuvraj Singh Rathore.ML.
(softly):
“You always run to the river when you want to escape.”
Siyara Banerjee.FL.
(not looking at him):
“Maybe I come here when I want clarity.”
He walked down slowly, hands in his pockets, stopping just behind her.
Yuvraj Singh Rathore.ML.
(quietly):
“Then maybe I came to find mine too.”
Siyara Banerjee.FL.
*She glanced back, meeting his eyes—eyes she’d avoided for weeks but never truly escaped.*
Yuvraj Singh Rathore.ML.
*He sat beside her. Close. But not touching.*
The silence stretched between them, gentle as the rippling water.
Yuvraj Singh Rathore.ML.
“Siyara… I don’t want to pretend anymore. I don’t want to be the guy who looks at you and walks away like none of this ever happened.”
She turned, expression unreadable.
Siyara Banerjee.FL.
“Then who do you want to be?”
He leaned closer, the soft breeze brushing his shirt against her arm.
Yuvraj Singh Rathore.ML.
(intense):
“I want to be the one you choose to miss. To talk to. To belong to.”
Siyara Banerjee.FL.
*Her heart pounded.*
Yuvraj Singh Rathore.ML.
“I want you to be mine, Siyara. Officially. Fully.”
She blinked slowly, her lips parting just slightly.
Siyara Banerjee.FL.
“You know we’re going home tomorrow… You’re asking me to start something just before we leave?”
Yuvraj Singh Rathore.ML.
(whispering):
“No, I’m asking you to start something that doesn’t stop—no matter where we go.”
His hand reached for hers, warm and firm, fingers interlocking like they’d done it a thousand times before.
Yuvraj Singh Rathore.ML.
“Be my girlfriend.”
She laughed, just once—breathless and bright.
Siyara Banerjee.FL.
(whispering):
“You think a river, a sunset, and that look in your eyes is enough to make me say yes?”
Yuvraj Singh Rathore.ML.
(smirking):
“I think I’ve already made you mine—you just didn’t know it.”
She leaned in first.
Not for a kiss.
But for his warmth.
Siyara Banerjee.FL.
*Her head rested on his shoulder, their fingers still entwined.*
Siyara Banerjee.FL.
(softly):
“Yes.”
He turned, kissed her forehead.
Then her cheek.
Then—his lips found hers.
Slow. Confident.
Like he was making a vow without saying a word.
She didn’t stop him.
Didn’t pull away.
Because for the first time, she wanted every part of him.
