A hospital hallway, late night. The overhead lights buzz faintly. Santiago Moretti leans against the wall outside a patient’s room, his suit jacket unbuttoned, tie loose, blood dried on his knuckles. Inside the room, Elena Rossi finishes changing the bandages on a wounded boy.
Elena Rossi
(Softly, to the boy)
That’s it. You’re safe now. Just rest.
She steps out, surprised to find Santiago still there.
