The knight, confused but obedient, signals the driver. The carriage comes to a halt. The second it does—
Kieran jump out and SPRINTS like his life depends on it.

HE’S RUNNING! CHASE HIM!
Kieran darts through the streets, dodging pedestrians, leaping over baskets of vegetables, and barely avoiding a very confused chicken.

YOUNG MASTER, PLEASE COME BACK!
Kieran glances back and—BAM! A hand suddenly grabs his arm and pulls him into an alley.
Kieran finds himself face-to-face with a handsome stranger smirking at him.

Running from trouble?
Kieran[MC]
(💭 Oh no, he’s hot.(〃ﾟ3ﾟ〃)) Uhh… I… who are you?
Lucian
Just someone who knows a good hiding spot. You can stay here for a few minutes… or keep running and see how far you get
Kieran looks behind him, then back at the stranger. His options are limited, and frankly, he’s too out of breath to keep running.

(Blinking)... Excuse me?
Lucian
You remind me of a little kitten—small, skittish, and running around like it’s the end of the world.

Lucian
As the Lucian leads Kieran through narrow backstreets before stopping at a quiet courtyard. There’s an old bench, some crates, and the faint glow of a lantern hanging on the wall.
Kieran[MC]

Lucian
(Casually leans against a crate) Anytime, Kitty.
Kieran[MC]
(Groans)Are you seriously still calling me that?
Lucian
(Shrugs)It suits you.
Kieran[MC]

(Grinning)You can call me anything you want.

Kieran’s stomach suddenly lets out a loud gurgle

(Bursts out laughing)Oh, Kitty, that was adorable.

(Still grinning)Relax. Lucky for you, I know how to cook.
Lucian effortlessly starts preparing something over a small fire. The rich aroma fills the air, making Kieran’s stomach betray him again with another rumble.
Kieran awkwardly eats the food, and to his surprise—
Kieran[MC]
(Mumbling)...It’s really good
Lucian
And since I fed you, you owe me a meal next time we meet.
Kieran[MC]
Okok (💭It’s not like I’ll ever see him again…)
