A Forgotten Love
The café hums softly with distant chatter, the scent of coffee thick in the air
Again jungkook eyes lock onto Taehyung—sitting there, reading, completely unaware of the storm raging inside him

* 💭Thinking* He’s right there. So close. But why does it feel like he’s a million miles away?😞
Taking a deep breath, Jungkook walks forward. Every step feels heavy. He pulls out the chair across from Taehyung and sits down, hesitating before speaking.
Tae notices the presence and finally looks up—expression unreadable, guarded
Tae, sensing the gaze, finally looks up and raises a brow 🤨

*His voice is cold, detached, nothing like the Taehyung Jungkook once knew* ... Can I help you?
Jungkook swallows hard, words failing him. His fingers clench on his lap, the weight of the moment suffocating

Taehyung’s brows knit together in confusion, then irritation.
He sets his book down, crossing his arms

*he exhales, trying to steady himself* I was curious

*taehyung scoffs, eyes narrowing slightly* Curious? What, are you running some kind of survey?
Jungkook stares, his heart aching at the unfamiliar tone.
His Taehyung—his Taehyung—would’ve never spoken to him like this.

Where do you work?
Taehyung tilts his head, eyes studying Jungkook’s face like he’s trying to place him, but there’s no sign of recognition

What’s with all the questions? Are u a cop ?

*tae leans back* Or Do I know you?
The words send Jungkook spiraling. Because this… this wasn’t supposed to happen. He wasn’t supposed to be forgotten. His hands tremble slightly on the table.
Jeon Jungkook
*whispers to himself voice cracking* “Do I know you?"
And just like that he zone out and he’s thrown into the past again
Soft golden light spills into the bedroom
Jungkook and Taehyung lay on their bed, tangled in sheets, warmth radiating between them.
The air smells faintly of strawberry and the remnants of their anniversary cake.
Jungkook watches Taehyung through half-lidded eyes, fingers lazily tracing over his bare shoulder

*teasing* Hubby what if I lost my memory one day?
Taehyung is half-asleep . He hums in response but his eyes fluttering open slightly

Taehyung fully opens his eyes now, turning to face Jungkook with an expression so soft it makes Jungkook’s breath hitch.

Jungkook’s throat tightens, but he lets out a soft laugh

Taehyung shakes his head and serious now.

I mean it. If you forget me, I’ll search for you until you remember me
He presses a soft, lingering kiss to Jungkook’s forehead, then his lips—slow, deep, filled with unspoken promises
Tae reaches out, shaking JK’s shoulder lightly to snap him out of it.
A single tear slips from Jungkook's left eye. He doesn’t even realize

Hey, are you okay?
Jungkook blinks back into reality, his breath uneven and his chest tightened
Jungkook looks at Tae completely overwhelmed.
Kim Taehyung
What the hell? Are you… crying?
Jungkook quickly wipes his cheek, but Taehyung isn’t letting it go.
He leans forward slightly and his eyes filled with something Jungkook can’t quite place
Kim Taehyung
Hey. What’s wrong with you?
Jungkook doesn’t answer. He can’t.

But the person in front of him… is a stranger.
So instead of answering, he slowly stands up, chair scraping against the floor

*confused and frowning* Wait. What’s going on? Are you some kind of weirdo?
Jungkook doesn’t respond. He turns, walking towards the exit, his vision blurred. His world is tilting, cracking—
And just as he pushes the door open to leave, someone walks in
They move past him, heading straight for Taehyung’s table.
But Jungkook doesn’t see. He doesn’t care.
He just… keeps walking, the weight of the past pressing down on him, crushing him completely
