The Past That Haunts Us
Taehyung sat on the couch in Jungkook’s private study, his hands trembling as he touched his swollen lips.
Jungkook stood in front of him, arms crossed, a smirk lingering on his face.
“What’s wrong, Taehyung?” Jungkook teased. “Cat got your tongue?”
Taehyung’s heartbeat was erratic. His body still burned from the intensity of Jungkook’s kiss, but his mind screamed at him to be careful.
He clenched his fists. “You don’t get to do that.”
Jungkook raised an eyebrow. “Do what?”
“Kiss me like you own me.”
Jungkook’s eyes darkened. “But I do own you, Taehyung. You just don’t remember yet.”
Taehyung shot up from the couch, pushing Jungkook back. “You keep saying that, but I don’t belong to anyone!”
Jungkook grabbed his wrist before he could walk away. His grip was strong, but not painful. “Then tell me,” he whispered, voice low and dangerous, “why did you kiss me back?”
Taehyung opened his mouth to argue but closed it immediately. He had no answer.
Jungkook smirked. “See? You can’t deny it.”
Taehyung gritted his teeth. “That was a mistake.”
Jungkook’s jaw tensed. “A mistake?”
“Yes.” Taehyung yanked his hand free. “I don’t know what kind of past we had, but right now, I don’t remember you. And until I do… you’re just a stranger forcing his feelings onto me.”
Jungkook flinched, as if the words physically hurt him.
A rare emotion flickered in his eyes—pain.
Taehyung ignored the guilt that crept into his chest and turned to leave.
Before he could touch the door handle, Jungkook spoke.
“I’ll make you remember.”
Taehyung hesitated.
Jungkook’s voice was softer this time. “Even if you hate me, I’ll make you remember.”
Taehyung inhaled sharply but didn’t turn around. Instead, he walked out, his heart heavier than before.

Later That Day
The BTS members sat in the living room, chatting over coffee, but the atmosphere was thick with tension.
Taehyung sat next to Jimin, staring at his untouched drink.
Jin nudged him. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
Taehyung sighed. “Might as well have.”
Jimin chuckled. “He means Jungkook.”
Yoongi raised an eyebrow. “What did he do now?”
Taehyung ran a frustrated hand through his hair. “He kissed me.”
The room fell silent.
Hoseok whistled. “Damn. That was fast.”
Namjoon sighed. “Jungkook never gives up.”
Taehyung shook his head. “He thinks he can force me to remember through feelings. But I don’t remember anything!”
Jimin tapped his chin. “Maybe he’s right, though.”
Taehyung glared. “Whose side are you on?”
Jimin smirked. “I’m on the side of love, my dear.”
Yoongi scoffed. “Sounds like Jungkook’s obsession, not love.”
Taehyung frowned. “Exactly.”
Namjoon leaned forward. “Then prove him wrong.”
Taehyung blinked. “What do you mean?”
Namjoon shrugged. “If Jungkook thinks your body remembers, then test it. Spend time with him. See if your heart actually recognizes him.”
Hoseok nodded. “If you still feel nothing, then he has to accept it.”
Taehyung bit his lip. It was risky.
But maybe… it was the only way.

The Next Day – The Challenge
Taehyung found Jungkook in his office, busy typing on his laptop.
Jungkook looked up, surprised. “Tae?”
Taehyung crossed his arms. “Let’s test your theory.”
Jungkook smirked. “Oh? And how do you plan to do that?”
“I’ll spend time with you. Let’s see if my heart actually remembers anything.”
Jungkook stood up, his gaze intense. “And if it does?”
Taehyung hesitated. “Then… I’ll admit you were right.”
Jungkook took a step forward. “And if it doesn’t?”
Taehyung swallowed hard. “Then you have to let me go.”
Jungkook studied him for a long moment. Then, he smiled—a slow, confident smile.
“Deal.”
Taehyung’s chest tightened.
Something told him he just walked into a dangerous game.
And Jungkook was planning to win.
