Taehyung hesitated for a moment before stepping inside the dimly lit office. The only source of light came from the city skyline behind Jungkook, casting shadows across his sharp features. His dark eyes burned with an unreadable intensity as he leaned back in his chair, fingers tapping against the polished desk.
Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
(calmly, but with an edge) "Close the door."
The tension in the room thickened as Taehyung silently obeyed, the soft click of the door echoing through the space. He turned back to face Jungkook, masking his nerves with a neutral expression.
Jungkook studied him for a long moment before speaking.

(leaning back in his chair, eyes locked onto Taehyung) "Why did you apply for a job at my company, Kim Taehyung?"
Taehyung clenched his jaw. He had expected this confrontation, but the weight of Jungkook’s gaze made it harder to maintain his composure.
Kim Taehyung (Omega)
(keeping his voice steady, though his fingers twitch slightly) "I didn’t know this was your company when I applied. I just needed a stable job."
Jungkook scoffed, standing up slowly. He moved around his desk, closing the distance between them with calculated steps.
Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
(studying him closely, voice low) "Is that so? Because from where I’m standing, it looks like you’re deliberately trying to involve yourself in my life."
Taehyung clenches his fists. He refuses to let Jungkook’s words shake him.
Kim Taehyung (Omega)
"That’s ridiculous. You’re the one who keeps showing up in my life, not the other way around."
Jungkook lets out a dry chuckle, but there’s no humor in it. His dark eyes glint with something unreadable.
Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
(mockingly) "You’re either reckless or just plain stupid."
He steps even closer, the warmth of his presence contrasting with the ice in his tone.
Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
(softly, but deadly serious) "Tell me, Taehyung… are you digging into my past?"
Taehyung stiffens. He doesn’t answer immediately—and that silence is enough for Jungkook.
Jungkook’s jaw tightens, his patience wearing thin.
Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
(warningly) "I told you to stay out of things that don’t concern you."
Kim Taehyung (Omega)
(meeting his gaze head-on, voice unwavering) "And what if I don’t?"
A tense silence hangs between them. The air is heavy, suffocating.
Jungkook exhales sharply, running a hand through his hair before stepping back, as if forcing himself to create distance.
Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
(coldly, voice sharp as a blade) "You’re playing with fire."
He turns slightly, jaw clenched, before his voice drops lower.
Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
"Get out of my office, Taehyung. Before I make you regret it."
Taehyung wanted to push, to demand answers, but the storm in Jungkook’s eyes told him this wasn’t the time. Without another word, he turned on his heel and walked out, feeling Jungkook’s gaze burn into his back the entire way.
Location: Office Hallway – Minutes Later
As soon as Taehyung stepped out of the CEO’s office, he let out a shaky breath, his heart still pounding. He didn’t get the answers he wanted, but one thing was clear—Jungkook was hiding something.
He didn’t have time to dwell on it as a familiar voice called out.
Can be anyone
???: "Taehyung?"
Turning, he found Park Jaewoon standing nearby, looking at him with a mix of surprise and concern
Kim Taehyung (Omega)
"Jaewoon."
Taehyung acknowledged, forcing a small smile to mask his tension.
Jaewoon eyes him carefully before stepping closer, concern flickering in his expression.
Park Jaewoon (Alpha)
(gently) "What were you doing in the CEO’s office this late?"
Kim Taehyung (Omega)
(shrugging lightly) "Nothing serious. He just had some questions for me."
Jaewoon frowned but didn’t push further. Instead, he gave Taehyung a softer look.
Park Jaewoon (Alpha)
"Are you okay? You seem… tense."
(sighs, running a hand through his hair)
Kim Taehyung (Omega)
(sighs, running a hand through his hair)"It’s just been a long day."
Jaewoon nodded in understanding.
Park Jaewoon (Alpha)
(offering a small smile) "Then let’s grab some coffee before you head home. You look like you need it."
Taehyung hesitates for a moment, then nods.
Kim Taehyung (Omega)
"Yeah… that sounds good."
As they walk together, Jaewoon glances at Taehyung, an unreadable expression in his eyes.
Park Jaewoon (Alpha)
(lightly, but with a hint of something deeper) "You know, I’m really glad Jimin introduced us."
Kim Taehyung (Omega)
(raising an eyebrow, smirking slightly) "Oh? And why’s that?"
Park Jaewoon (Alpha)
(chuckling, looking straight ahead) "Because you’re… interesting, Taehyung."
Taehyung shakes his head with a small laugh, the tension from earlier easing just slightly.
Kim Taehyung (Omega)
"Interesting how?"
Park Jaewoon (Alpha)
(grinning slightly) "I guess I’ll figure that out the more I get to know you."
Taehyung doesn’t respond, but for a moment, the weight of Jungkook’s warning lingers at the back of his mind.
He knows this is just the beginning of something much, much bigger.
