Why he was sorry

...I can now understanderstand why people don’t trust, why they dig deeper into every little detail about what someone tells them. Because I should have, or else I wouldn’t be on the back of a horse right now crying my eyes out with a bag over my head....

...The sound of hooves moving on the muddy ground tells me we’re close to wherever we’re going. Because there was a storm in Mareida which makes me 4 days away from home. 4 days since he told me he was ‘sorry’ he’s not. He would’ve never done this to me, what did I do? What’s this got to do with me?...

...A man pushes me to the ground making my dress a dark brown instead of royal blue. Screams, not of fear, but of sheer terror. When someone says they screamed bloody murder I fear i actually know what that means, what it sounds like. I feel my neck get yanked followed by a, “Get up.” A deep voice, a gruffy one but soft....

...I follow orders, getting up to my feet my puffy eyes able only to see a fragment through the burlap sack, but what I can see has me freightened. A graveyard, right in front of a prison that looks as if it was made generations ago. Is this where they kill me? Where they torture me? I start walking a little to fast for someone who’s scared of what’s down there, but maybe it’s not all that bad....

...A low growl echoes through the cells as I walk down the stairs to what I suppose is my cell room. I step in and immediately the sack comes off my head revealing something much more frightening then what they’ll do to me....

...A dragon. A real life dragon, stands before me before it disappears with a shed of light that I have to cover my eyes not to see. It’s…a human, a guy. He has a tail, and wings like a dragon, claws too. My guess is he’s a shifter. Dragons were supposed to be extinct long before I was born, before the king too. But that was just a legend, I thought we’d never have to worry about them. But I guess they don’t, I have to. There was only one rule when they and the humans did exist, a dragon and a human, cannot be together. It was probably made because if they did it would be to dangerous. The human mothers who gave birth to dragons, they never survived that’s why the rule was made, or at least that’s what I heard. But who knows everything’s a lie in my life....

...A growl again, this time from the nameless dragon/human. “What are you doing in my cell?” His voice, I have to stop and think about his voice. I know I shouldn’t but my knees are weak at just his voice. A dragon who can kill me, and I’m blushing at his voice. “I don’t see your name on it, and I’m pretty sure it’s whoever’s cell they decide to put you in.” He scoffs and steps closer. “I was here first. And what’s your name tiny human?” The fact that he calls me that awfull nickname makes me realize how tall he really is, I have to crane my neck to look at him. “Lucina, and you?” He doesn’t respond for a minute like he’s thinking about what his name is. “Caleb.”...

Author note: Again a really short chapter, I’m sorry. I’m running off of little ideas right now I need to be more creative I know.
