Prologue

On the middle of the night, Natalia and Nathan who are best friends laid down under the tree to look up into the night sky. There were so many stars to be counted that it felt like so fake for them.

" Um, do you think it could be possible to count all the stars in the sky right now, Nathan? "Natalia asked with a smile on her face.

The sudden questions caused Nathan to smirk. He replied "Ugh, do you think? That's impossible: I wish we could thought: But, it will be take forever!"

" Why, not? Don't we have forever? "

"I wish we could do that, Natalia. Wish we could."

The two of them remained silent as they were counted the stars in their hands. They both were different in many ways, but little things like these make them even more closer to each other. That is why Natalia like to call Nathan her best friend and soulmate. It's like things were meant to be. She could not ask for a better friend than him.

"If anything would happen to either one of us, would we be apart forever?" Natalia asked quietly as she sat up from the ground to look into Nathan eye's.

"I don't think so? How could we ever be apart? You've got me and I've got you. What could be better than that, Natalia?"

"Fine, but you better remember saying things like that: I don't want some years to go by and you forget all of that and leave me like some others broken toys: I swear to god, I'll kill you if you become like that!" Natalia said as a dead look on her face appeared.

"My Gosh, Natalia: You're saying the most random things: You don't need to be worried about that." Nathan chuckled as he gave her a warm smile.

"Anyway, are you underestimate me right now?"

"No, it's not like that, Nathan: But, I just want you to promise me: That's all."

"What do you want me to promise, Natalia?"

"Promise me, that you will never forget about me" Natalia said as tears steamed down her cheeks.

"Don't cry, please? I promise, I'll never forget you: You will always be on my mind, Natalia."

Nathan sat up as well and hugged her sweetly. The breeze of the night blown, make both of their hair fly with it. They did not even move an inch. They liked it this way.

But, that is because they were young. They were young and healthy. Young and wild. Young and free. They were only fifteen. What would goes wrong?

You may not see it today or tomorrow, but you will look back in a few years and be absolutely perplexed and awed by how every little things added up and brought you somewhere wonderful or where you always wanted to be. You will be grateful that things did not work out the way you once wanted them to.
