Chapter 4: Vanished

The world plunges into darkness.
You gasp, your fingers still gripping the doorknob, twisting desperately.
The air behind you shifts, thick with something unseen but undeniably there.
Your phone slips from your grip,
Hitting the floor with a dull thud.
The screen flickers. Then—nothing.
Silence
Your breath comes in sharp, uneven gasps. Your muscles tense as you press your forehead against the door.
You
You
Move. Move! my bloody legs
But your body feels paralyzed by the suffocating weight of fear.
Then—
A whisper.
Low. Almost gentle. Right beside your ear.
"You shouldn’t have looked."
A scream catches in your throat. Your instincts take over, and you slam your fist against the door.
The knob finally twists—unlocked.
You throw yourself forward, stumbling into the dimly lit hallway.
You
You
finally I'm out
Your body is shaking, adrenaline pumping through your veins as you whirl around.
The room behind you is pitch black.
The closet door hangs slightly open. The space beneath the bed is nothing but shadows.
You
You
No one is there.
You
You
The presence—the hand—the voice—gone.
Your heartbeat thunders in your ears as you stagger backward.
The only sound is your ragged breathing.
Your phone buzzes from inside the room
You
You
🥶
You
You
It’s still in there.
The glow of the screen barely cuts through the darkness. A single message waits.
Unknown
Unknown
Come back inside.
You
You
no
You
You
No. No way.
Your first instinct is to run,
You
You
I've to get out of the house and never look back.
But something stops you. Not just fear—something deeper.
Because
You
You
If i leave now
You
You
I'll never know who sent those messages.
You
You
Or how they were watching me.
Your fingers curl into fists.
You
You
No more running.
You take a slow step forward. Then another. Your legs feel like lead,
But you push through, forcing yourself back into the room.
You
You
The air inside is wrong.
You
You
Thick. Heavy. The kind of silence that doesn’t feel empty—but waiting.
Your phone screen flickers again.
You
You
Another message.
Unknown
Unknown
I see you.
Your breath catches as the closet door creaks open on its own.
No. Not on its own.
You
You
Something is inside.
A shadow moves.
And then—
Darkness.
