REVENGE: THE ULTIMATE PLANNING
Draft
[Scene opens — Early morning, grey sky. Aeryn stands outside a worn-down café, staring at a newspaper clipping.]
aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)
(voiceover):
Vaelran Allaire—Caelan’s husband.
Minister.
Public darling.
Private monster.
[He folds the paper and enters the café. It’s quiet. Only one person sits near the corner: a tired-looking woman in a nurse’s uniform.]
aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)
(sitting across from her, low voice):
"You worked in the house, didn’t you?"
any female character
Nurse (nervous glance around):
"Yes… but I shouldn’t be talking to you."
aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)
(firmly):
"I’m his brother. You want to talk to me."
[She exhales shakily, pulling a worn locket from her neck and placing it on the table.]
any female character
Nurse:
"He gave me this before… before he—"
(chokes up)
"He said, 'If anything happens to me, give this to Aeryn. He’ll understand.'"
**[Aeryn opens the locket. Inside—a tiny photo of Caelan with a bruised cheek, smiling tightly. The background? A lavish hall with Vaelran… and Lucien.]
LUCIEN
(past):
“It was so sudden… He must’ve been depressed.”
aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)
(present) (gritting teeth):
"Depressed my ass."
[Cut to Aeryn back at home. He opens Caelan’s diary again. A new page.]
Diary Entry:
“Lucien says Vaelran didn’t mean to.
But broken bones don’t lie.
Love isn’t supposed to make you bleed.”
[Sudden knock at the door. Aeryn opens it cautiously. It’s his old university friend—Damon, now working in forensics.]
DAMON
Hey. I got your message. You said you wanted everything about the night Caelan died?"
aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)
(coldly):
"Everything. Reports. Security footage. And autopsy."
DAMON
(pausing):
"You’re not gonna like what you find."
aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)
(Dark smirk):
"I’m not here to like anything."
[Cut to Aeryn at his desk. He pulls out a hidden file. Title: “Case 039: The Minister’s Shadow.”]
aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)
(voiceover):
They thought burying him would bury the truth.
But I’m not the type to mourn quietly.
I dig.
