After the dinner all were waiting for Aishwarya in the living room.
Aishwarya steps into the house and immediately senses something is wrong. The usual warmth feels replaced by a thick, suffocating silence.
Her eyes scan the room and land on Aarav, sitting on the couch, his head bowed, shoulders tense

Aarav? What’s going on?
Aarav looks up briefly, guilt flashing across his face before he stands up. Without a word, he gestures toward the balcony. Aishwarya frowns but follows him outside

Aarav, talk to me. What’s wrong?😧
Aarav grips the railing tightly, staring at the city lights. He opens his mouth but no words come out. He exhales sharply, frustrated with himself
Aishwarya Mukherjee (FL)
(softly)Aarav, whatever it is, just say it. It’s me. You don’t have to hold back.
Aarav turns to her, his expression torn
Aarav Singhania(Ml)
I’m leaving, Aish
Aishwarya Mukherjee (FL)
(caught off guard)Leaving? What do you mean? Where?
Aarav Singhania(Ml)
I got an opportunity. To study abroad. It’s everything I’ve worked for. But… it means leaving everything behind.

(Chest tightens)
She knows how much this means to him. But that doesn’t make it easier.

Aarav Singhania(Ml)
In two weeks.
Silence. The words sink in, and Aishwarya swallows the lump in her throat. She should be happy for him. She is. But the thought of him not being around feels… unreal.
Aishwarya Mukherjee (FL)
(forcing a small smile) That’s… amazing. I mean, this is what you always wanted, right?
Aarav Singhania(Ml)
Yeah. But I hate that it means leaving you.
Aishwarya Mukherjee (FL)
(lightly) Oh, please. You’re not getting rid of me that easily.
Aarav Singhania(Ml)
(chuckles)

It’s not that, Aish. You’re my best friend more like my life . My constant. I don’t know how to do life without you.
Aishwarya’s heart clenches. She steps closer, placing a hand on his arm.
Aishwarya Mukherjee (FL)
You’re not losing me, Aarav. No matter how far you go, you’re stuck with me. We may not be in the same city, but we’re still us. Always.
Aarav looks at her, his eyes glassy with emotion. He lets out a shaky breath and nods

Promise? 🥺

(grinning through her tears)Do I look like someone who breaks promises?
Aarav laughs, finally feeling some of the weight lift from his chest. He pulls her into a tight hug, holding on like he never wants to let go

You’re my soul, Aish. I don’t know what I’d do without you
Aishwarya Mukherjee (FL)
(smirking) Probably get lost in a grocery store and forget to eat on time.
They both laugh, the sadness still lingering but not overwhelming. Because no matter the distance, some bonds don’t break. And theirs never will
