Chapter 3: The Ride
(The car glides through the dark streets in heavy silence. Aurora sits stiffly, her fingers digging into the strap of her bag as she keeps a wary distance from Alessandro, who remains composed, exuding an air of authority. The luxurious leather interior does nothing to ease her growing nerves.)
Aurora Evans (fl)
Where are you taking me?
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
Somewhere safe.
Aurora Evans (fl)
I didn't ask for your help.
Aurora Evans (fl)
You could have just left me alone.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
Piccola, you were already mine the moment I saw you.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
Whether you asked for it or not doesn't matter.
(Aurora's heart skips a beat at his possessive tone. She clenches her fists, trying to mask her fear with defiance.)
Aurora Evans (fl)
You can't just claim people like that.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
Watch me🥶
(The weight of his words settles over her, heavy and suffocating. She turns toward the window, watching the blurred city lights pass by. Her voice wavers despite her best efforts.)
Aurora Evans (fl)
My family will notice I'm gone.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
Will they?
(Silence falls between them. The sting of truth hits harder than any insult. Her family wouldn't care-not after years of neglect and blame. They only saw her as a nuisance, someone overshadowed by her perfect older sister.)
Aurora Evans (fl)
(Muttering) They won't, will they...
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
No
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
But I care.
(Aurora's head snaps toward him, disbelief flickering in her eyes.)
Aurora Evans (fl)
You don't even know me.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
I know enough.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
I know you've been overlooked, blamed, and forgotten.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
But not anymore
(Her breath catches at the certainty in his voice. There's something dangerous about this man, but beneath the danger lies a strange promise - one she doesn't fully understand yet)
Aurora Evans (fl)
Why do you care?
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
Because you belong to me now.
(His unwavering gaze sends a shiver down her spine. She doesn't know whether to argue or stay silent, so she chooses the former.)
Aurora Evans (fl)
I don't belong to anyone.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
You'll learn, bella
(The car slows as they approach a massive gated estate. The iron gates creak open, revealing a sprawling mansion bathed in golden lights. Aurora's eyes widen in disbelief.)
Aurora Evans (fl)
What is this place?
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
Home.
(Her stomach twists at the realization that she's being drawn into a world far beyond her control. Fear mingles with confusion as the car stops in front of the grand entrance.)
Aurora Evans (fl)
I'm not staying here.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
You are.
(He steps out of the car, rounding it swiftly to open the door for her. His towering presence commands obedience, but Aurora stands her ground, glaring up at him.)
Aurora Evans (fl)
You can't keep me here.
Alessandro De Luca (ml)
I already have, piccola
(The soft click of the mansion doors opening echoes through the night. Aurora's heart pounds as she realizes-there's no going back now.)
