flora kept her expression neutral as she casually stretched, pretending like she wasn’t already plotting her next move.

The Alpha—or ‘Wolfy’ as she was now mentally calling him—seemed entirely relaxed, as if he had nothing to worry about.

Flora

Good. That meant he wouldn’t see it coming.

Flora

she let out a dramatic sigh.

"Well, if I’m stuck here, at least I should get breakfast."

Wolfy

Wolfy raised an eyebrow.

Wolfy

"Hungry?"

Flora

"Starving."

Wolfy

He nodded.

Wolfy

"l'll get something."

Flora

Yes. That’s right. Go, leave. Give me a five-second head start

Flora

As soon as he turned toward the exit, Laura launched herself toward the window—only for a firm grip to wrap around her waist mid-leap.

Wolfy

"You are hopeless," Wolfy muttered, holding her effortlessly in the air.

Flora

she flailed. "LET ME GOOO!"

Wolfy

"No."

Flora

"I demand my freedom!"

Wolfy

"Denied."

Flora

she twisted, trying to pry his fingers off. "You said I was safe here, not trapped!"

Wolfy

"You are safe. That doesn't mean you can run."

Flora

she groaned, going limp in his hold. "You are the WORST captor ever."

Wolfy

Wolfy smirked, amused. "And yet, you're still here."

Flora

flora glared. "Not by choice!"

Wolfy

"You’re too weak to leave."

Flora

"That’s a temporary issue."

Wolfy

"Mhm." He set her back down—on his lap.

Flora

she stiffened. "…Excuse me, sir?"

Wolfy

He leaned in slightly, his golden eyes watching her every movement.

Wolfy

"Try running again, little bird." His voice was low, almost teasing. "I'll enjoy catching you every time."
