pov of Wolfy

Alpha's POV – The Moment He Chose Her 🌙
Carrying an unconscious, bloodied woman through the forest wasn’t how I expected my night to go.
But when I saw her lying there—fragile, yet somehow unbroken—I knew she was different
Her scent was unfamiliar. Not like beast. Something strange but addictive
It intrigued me.
And in a hundred years, very little had ever intrigued me.
Then She Woke Up.
I expected fear. Submission. The usual reaction when someone realized they were in the presence of an Alpha.
Instead…
"I don’t remember signing a contract, buddy."
Buddy?
I stared at her, waiting for the panic to set in.
It never did
She kept talking. Arguing. Bantering.
There was no false admiration in her eyes. No forced flattery or desperate attempts to win favor.
She looked at me like I was just a man.
Not a ruler. Not a monster. Not a prize to be won.
Just a man.
And that… that was rare.
Then She Tried to Run.
Amusing. Utterly foolish, but amusing.
Her body was weak, her legs barely working, and yet she still tried.
She didn’t grovel. She didn’t beg.
She fought
I liked that
So when she inevitably failed, I caught her before she hit the ground.
Warm
she was Warm
Her eyes, her scent, the fire in her voice—everything about her called to me.
I could have let her fall.
I didn’t
I could have punished her for her defiance.
Instead, I carried her back.
Because she was mine.
She just didn’t know it yet.
Her breathing evened out, her small frame relaxed against the furs.
I watched her for a moment, something unfamiliar curling in my chest.
She was… interesting. Unexpected.
And in all my years, I had never wanted anything more.
