The night was supposed to be ordinary. Just another group of freshmen settling into their dorm rooms, unpacking clothes, setting up desks, and nervously introducing themselves. The fluorescent hallway lights buzzed overhead, the sound of distant chatter and laughter filling the air.

But then, everything changed.

At exactly midnight, a deep, resonating chime echoed through the dormitory, shaking the walls as if reality itself had cracked. The ceiling lights flickered, the air thickened, and an eerie, static-filled voice blared from the dorm intercom:

"Welcome, participants, to Dorm Survival Game. Your mission: survive until dawn. Protect yourselves. Protect your teammates. The game begins now."

And then, the screaming started.

Chapter One: The First Night

The first thing Alex noticed was the sudden suffocating silence that followed the announcement. Every sound in the dormitory had vanished—no laughter, no voices, no footsteps. It was as if the entire building had been sucked into a vacuum.

His roommate, Ethan, stared at the ceiling, pale-faced. “What the hell was that?”

Alex swallowed hard and turned toward their dorm door. The wooden frame rattled as something heavy pounded against it from the outside.

Thud. Thud. THUD.

A deep, guttural growl seeped through the thin cracks, sending a chill up Alex’s spine. The doorknob twisted violently.

“Someone’s trying to get in,” Ethan whispered.

“Not someone,” Alex corrected, stepping back. “Something.”

A piercing scream echoed from another room down the hall, followed by frantic footsteps and the sound of furniture crashing. The entire dormitory had erupted into chaos.

Ethan grabbed his phone. “No signal. Wi-Fi’s down too.”

“Figures,” Alex muttered. He turned toward the wardrobe in their room—his last hope of barricading the door. But as he stepped toward it, something changed.

The air in the room bent unnaturally. The wardrobe, an old wooden piece left behind by previous students, trembled as a deep, violet glow seeped from its edges. The door creaked open on its own, revealing a swirling void—an otherworldly portal into a dimension Alex could barely comprehend.

“What the—” Ethan gasped.

A pair of red, glowing eyes stared back at them from the abyss.

Before Alex could react, the pounding at the door grew more aggressive. The wood splintered. A rotten, decayed hand forced itself through the crack.

The game had begun.
