Episode-10
Adam walked through the hidden corridor, his steps calm, precise, unshaken. Lucian followed, his usual smirk lingering
Lucian
"Damn, boss. You really wrecked her. No regrets?"
Adam Brody
"She was nothing but a distraction."
Lucian chuckled under his breath
Lucian
"Brutal. She’ll probably cry herself to sleep."
Adam didn’t react. He didn’t care.
As they stepped into the grand hall, the shift was instant
The room—filled with high-ranking men, soldiers, lieutenants—fell into complete silence
Without hesitation, they straightened, lined up, and bowed
Everyone (in unison): "Boss."
Lucian smirked, eyes sweeping over the men who stood stiff with fear
Lucian
"Look at them. Like they're standing in front of the devil himself."
Adam walked forward, unfazed, stopping at the long table. His gaze, sharp and unreadable, cut through the men like a blade
Viktor, one of his senior men, stepped forward, his voice tense
Viktor
"Shipment secured. The Russians tried to negotiate for more."
Adam’s fingers tapped the table once—a slow, deliberate sound
Viktor
"We sent a message. His brother won’t be negotiating anymore."
Silence. Thick. Unforgiving.
The men visibly relaxed—but not too much. Fear still clung to the air, heavy and suffocating.
Lucian leaned against a chair, sighing
Lucian
"Guess you won’t need to kill anyone today."
Adam took a slow sip of whiskey, ignoring him. The meeting was over
Just as he turned to leave, Lucian’s smirk widened
Lucian
"Oh, boss… about the new maid."
Adam didn’t even glance at him.
Adam Brody
"What about her?"
Lucian chuckled, his voice dripping with amusement
Lucian
"Might go greet her. Welcome her properly."
Adam finally met his gaze, expression blank. Then, he smirked
Adam Brody
"She’s not worth my time."
Lucian let out a low laugh
Lucian
"Cold as ever, boss."
Adam walked away, leaving behind nothing but silence, fear, and the understanding that his word was law
