He handed her a small pen she hadn’t even realized was missing.

Arianna stared at the pen in her hand, her brow furrowed. How does he keep finding my stuff? Shaking her head, she shoved it into her bag and walked off to class, ignoring the flutter in her chest.

The day ended with a quiet tension lingering in the air. Arianna couldn’t shake the feeling that Ethan wasn’t just another annoying guy on campus. And Ethan? He couldn’t stop thinking about the girl who seemed immune to his charm.
