The days after the meeting felt like they stretched on forever for Taehyung. Every time he tried to focus on anything—his studies, his hobbies, even just relaxing—his thoughts would circle back to Jungkook, the forced marriage, and everything that came with it. The worst part was knowing that no matter how much he resisted, he couldn’t escape it.

He walked into the car, his mind racing. His father, already in the car, didn’t even glance at him. It was the usual silent ride, a stark contrast to the chaos inside Taehyung’s head.

Their families exchanged uneasy glances, but neither of them paid attention to it. They were too busy glaring at each other, their animosity palpable.
