Hyunwoo stands by the door, his face a mask of reluctant acceptance, though his eyes betray his impatience for Jungkook to leave. He feigns a helpless shrug.
Jeon hyunwoo
Jeon hyunwoo
[sighing dramatically] Well, hyung, if you’re sure about this, I guess I can’t stop you. Let me know if you need help with anything before you go.
Jeon Jungkook

[glancing at him briefly, a small, cold smile playing on his lips] Don’t worry, Hyunwoo. I’ve got everything covered.
Hyunwoo leaves, closing the door behind him. Jungkook waits until the sound of footsteps fades before turning back to his computer. His eyes sharpen as he reads through a document on the screen, his fingers drumming lightly on the desk. His lips curve into a faint sneer.
Jungkook looked up from the computer document, lips hooked into a sneer. This document was actually a change of will document, signed by the mother of the original owner of his body, Yang Hyejin’s.
As a hacker, searching for information in the network has always been Jungkook’s favorite hobby. Although he already knows the general direction the world will develop, he will not let any details slide. This change of will was found in the Yang Hyejin’s e-mail, it assigned all the shares that originally belonged to Jeon hyunwoo to the eldest son.
In other words, she did not intend to leave a single penny to the little son. Yang Hyejin, because of the influence of her husband, very much preferred the little son. If it was a normal situation, she would never treat the youngest son so cruelly. And after the change of will was made- a week before her death, and before it was sent to the lawyer-she jumped into the sea to commit suicide.

*Eyes darken as he recalls the details.*
Jungkook’s fingers tap the desk rhythmically as he considers the so-called “coincidences.”
Someone had tried to delete the will from her email. Someone had wanted to ensure the truth was buried. And after her death, a suspiciously altered version of the will was submitted, leaving everything to Hyunwoo. Jungkook’s current identity received only a few villas and some jewelry—a laughable inheritance compared to what should have been his.
Flashback to Yang Hyejin’s parents contesting the will. The memory plays in Jungkook’s mind like a bitter reel.
Her husband had explained to her parents that the eldest son was destined to inherit the Jeon empire, so the youngest deserved the mother’s legacy.

[muttering to himself, his voice low and dangerous] What a pathetic excuse. Did she really commit suicide? Or was there more to it?
Jungkook scoffs, his fingers running lightly over the keyboard.
While Hyunwoo ingratiated himself with the grandparents, regularly visiting and showering them with fake affection, Jungkook’s former self had been pushed to distance himself from them. Gradually, Hyunwoo earned their trust—and with it, countless benefits.
The original owner had been so thoroughly blinded by manipulation that he hadn’t even seen the betrayal unfolding around him. He was led astray, alienated from allies, and left to die without dignity or purpose.

*Eyes darken, the faint smirk on his face hardening into cold resolve. He closes the will on the computer, locking the screen with a final tap.*

[muttering to himself, his voice low and firm] Useless. No wonder he ended up dead.

[his tone sharp, filled with determination] But that won’t be my story. Sooner or later, I’ll take back everything that should belong to this body—and more.
When Hyunwoo learned that Jungkook planned to go abroad, he sped up the plan to push out Minho. Once the two pieces blocking his road were removed, Jeon Group would be in his bag. That day, because valuables worth hundreds of thousands were stolen from students in the classroom Minho was expelled from school. The victim’s parents also demanded to personally go to Jeon Group and have a long talk with Mr Jeon.
Mr Jeon felt endless shame, and so when the guests left he took a belt to Minho's back, then decided to send him abroad.
Jeon Minho

[gritting his teeth] I didn’t steal anything, it’s Jungkook who framed me! Uncle, you have to believe me!
Minho lies face down on the bed, his back marred with angry red marks from the punishment he received earlier. He clenches his fist, his voice trembling with anger and desperation.
His other hand clings tightly to Taehyung’s sleeve, his eyes glassy with unshed tears. Taehyung sits beside him, his expression calm but thoughtful. He gently pats Minho’s head, his voice soft and soothing.
Kim Taehyung

[reassuringly] I know, Minho. I know you didn’t do it. Uncle believes you.
When Minho fell asleep, Taehyung quietly left the juvenile’s room, he raised his hand but did not know where to put it. He believed that Minho was innocent, but he also believed that this was not planned by Jungkook.
Whenever Jungkook clashed with Minho—whether it was bullying, fighting, or threats—he never hid his actions. Jungkook was bold, unapologetic, and almost proud of his schemes.
This incident, however—secretly framing Minho and ruining his reputation—was far too underhanded for someone like Jungkook.
The only person that’d do that was the honey mouthed, backstabbing Hyunwoo.
But even if it was clear in his mind, Taehyung was not going to explain it to Minho . He did not have the intention of growing him in a greenhouse. He wanted to let him go through a storm, and finally grow into a towering tree. Dark bellied and hypocritical people like Minho were common in the business world, he needed to learn how to read people like that.
