Jungkook stormed into their shared dorm room, slamming the door behind him.
His chest heaved as he leaned against it, his jaw clenched in frustration.
He could still hear the laughter and murmurs from the cafeteria ringing in his ears.
Kim Taehyung
Rough day, Jungkookie?
Jungkook’s head snapped up to see Taehyung sprawled across his bed, propped up on one elbow, a playful smirk plastered on his face.
Jeon Jungkook
Don’t start with me, Taehyung. 😡 (Jungkook growled, throwing his bag onto the floor)
Taehyung sat up, his smirk deepening as he swung his legs over the edge of the bed.
Kim Taehyung
Oh, come on. You’ve gotta admit, that was entertaining. The crowd was eating it up.
Jungkook glared at him, his eyes blazing.
Jeon Jungkook
You think this is funny? You set me up, Taehyung! 😡
Taehyung stood, his hands sliding casually into his pockets as he sauntered over to Jungkook.
Kim Taehyung
I didn’t set you up. You lost the bet fair and square.
Kim Taehyung
You knew the stakes when you agreed to play.
Jeon Jungkook
That’s not the point! (Jungkook snapped, his voice rising)
Jeon Jungkook
You knew Lisa would turn me down. 😡
Jeon Jungkook
And you knew— (He cut himself off, his voice faltering as he turned away, running a hand through his hair)
Kim Taehyung
And I knew what? (Taehyung asked, his tone suddenly softer)
Jungkook didn’t answer, his shoulders stiffening.
Taehyung stepped closer, his voice dropping to a teasing murmur.
Kim Taehyung
That you wouldn’t really care about Lisa?
Kim Taehyung
That you’d only go through with it because of the stupid bet?
Jungkook turned back to face him, his expression torn between anger and something else, something unspoken.
Jeon Jungkook
You humiliated me in front of everyone, Tae.
Taehyung tilted his head, his smirk fading slightly.
Kim Taehyung
Did I? Or were you just mad because they brought us into it?
Jungkook’s silence spoke volumes.
