Luis is unconscious, lying inside a large glass tank surrounded by various wires and connected to an oxygen cylinder. There are other smaller tanks around him, with similar people unconscious, hooked up to various machines. The atmosphere is eerie, with the faint hum of machines filling the room.
Kyle (nervously pacing outside the tank, talking to a tall, intimidating figure in a lab coat, who appears to be the boss): "Boss, I brought him like you asked. He was a little more difficult than I expected, but we got him here."
Boss (interrupting, voice dark): "Don’t worry about him. The drugs are designed to keep him unconscious while we monitor the effects. If he wakes up... well, that’s why we have the containment systems in place."
The scientist nods in agreement and clicks a few buttons on his console, adjusting the dosage on the machine attached to Luis.
Scientist: "We’re also testing his resistance to high levels of stimulation. These subjects have been exposed to the drug for extended periods, but we want to see how they react under extreme pressure. It’s a necessary step."
Kyle (looking guilty but speaking hesitantly): "But, what if... what if something goes wrong? What if the drug... I mean, what if it hurts him?"
Boss (giving Kyle a hard, cold stare): "If the drug works, Kyle, we’ll have power like never before. You think I care about one failure in a world full of them?"
Scientist (noticing Kyle’s discomfort, speaking reassuringly to the boss): "His vitals are stable. No signs of distress yet. But we’ll need to be cautious."
Kyle (muttering under his breath, his gaze lingering on Luis): "I don’t know if I can watch this. He doesn’t deserve to be treated like this..."
Boss (smirking, turning to Kyle): "You’re weak, Kyle. That’s why you’re nothing more than a lackey. Keep your feelings out of this. We have a goal, and that’s all that matters. If you can't handle it, leave."
