(gulps, voice barely above a whisper)

(smirks, sliding the book across the counter)

Taehyung rings up the book, his hands trembling slightly. Jungkook notices and takes the receipt without looking away from him.

What’s your name?

(hesitates, unsure why he feels nervous)

(repeats the name softly, almost testing it on his tongue)

The way Jungkook says his name sends an unfamiliar warmth through Taehyung’s chest. He quickly looks away.

(amused, his lips curling slightly)

(interrupts, his voice firm yet teasing)

Taehyung looks up, meeting Jungkook’s intense gaze again. For a moment, everything feels still.
Kim Taehyung (Rare Omega)

Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
(softly, almost to himself)

The pleasure’s mine.
Jungkook pockets the book and heads toward the door. Before leaving, he pauses and glances back at Taehyung.

Do you work here every day?
Kim Taehyung (Rare Omega)
(confused but nods)

Yes… why?
Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
(smirking slightly)
Jeon Jungkook (Enigma)
No reason. See you around, Taehyung.
The bell jingles as Jungkook exits, leaving Taehyung standing there, heart racing and utterly confused.
Outside the bookstore. Jungkook gets into his car, the driver waiting. He stares at the book in his hands for a moment before speaking.

Did you find what you were looking for, sir?

(eyes narrowing, a small smirk on his lips)

Not yet… but I might have found something better.
Inside the bookstore, Taehyung touches the counter where Jungkook’s hand had rested, his mind swirling with questions.

Outside, Jungkook’s car disappears down the quiet street, the faint sound of the engine fading as mystery lingers in the air.
