On the other side, Sagar and his friends were still mocking her, but Jiya couldn’t do much about it because this job was very important to her.
“This is why I don’t like rich people. They don’t have a heart. They only measure people by their money,” Jiya thought to herself as she went to take Sagar’s order.
Fuming with anger, Jiya placed Sagar's order and sat down at the reception. Sagar stared at her with a crooked smile.
“You think you’ll get away so easily? You’re from a middle-class family, and it’s my passion to show small people their place,” Sagar smirked inwardly.
A while later, a voice called from the kitchen, “Miss Jiya, please take the order for Table 102.”
Jiya got up, went to the kitchen, and picked up Sagar’s order. Delivering this order was the hardest task for her. She knew Sagar would still try to humiliate her, but keeping her emotions in check and forcing a smile, she approached Sagar’s table and said, “Here’s your order, sir. This is your strawberry mojito.”
As she turned to leave, Sagar called out, “Where are you going? If you want to leave now, go ahead, but when we’re done eating, you can pack the leftovers and take them home. I heard your dad isn’t around anymore, so it must be hard for you to take care of your mom and brother, right? This is the least I can do for you.” Sagar and his friends burst into laughter.
This enraged Jiya. She turned and said firmly, “Look, sir, I’ve tolerated everything you said to me with a smile. But if you dare to speak about my family, I won’t stay silent. So, it’s better you don’t bring my family into this.”
Sagar’s ego was bruised. “How dare you talk back to me? Do you even know who I am? I’m Sagar Oberoi, owner of one of India’s top 10 companies. You have no right to speak in front of me. I can talk about you, your mother, your brother, or even your dead father, and you can’t do anything about it. So shut up and leave. And don’t forget to take the leftovers if there are any.”
Hearing this, Sagar’s friends laughed even louder.
But Jiya, fuming with rage, picked up the strawberry mojito and threw it straight at Sagar’s face. Everyone around the table stared at Sagar in shock. One of his friends shouted, “How dare you throw that at our friend? Do you even know who you’ve messed with?”
Jiya replied, “I know exactly who I’ve messed with—a spoiled, arrogant rich brat. What will you do? Fire me from this job? Go ahead! Yes, I need this job, but not at the cost of my dignity. In fact, I’ll save you the trouble—I’m quitting myself.” She stormed off, heading to the manager to submit her resignation.

On the other side…
Sagar, still stunned, slowly broke into a devilish smile. “I thought this girl had no courage, but I was wrong. She’s brave enough to challenge Sagar Oberoi. But leaving this hotel is not the end for her. This is just the beginning. I’ll show her what humiliation truly is. I’ll make her life worse than hell. Just wait and watch, Jiya.”
He smirked, picked up a tissue, and cleaned himself.

Meanwhile…
Jiya exited the hotel, furious, and took a taxi straight to her home. She felt bad about losing her only job but was proud that she had stood up to Sagar.
As she stood outside her house, the door opened, and her younger brother greeted her. “Di, you’re home early! Didn’t you say you’d be late today?”
“What happened, beta? Who’s here?” her mother asked, stepping into the doorway.
“Oh, Jiya, you’re back early. You look upset. Did something happen? Tell me if there’s anything wrong.”
“No, mom, everything’s fine. I just left early today, so I’m home sooner than usual. Let’s have dinner together tonight, and I’ll cook for everyone,” Jiya said with a forced smile. But her mother could sense something was off. She chose not to press Jiya for answers.
“Alright, beta. Cook today. We haven’t had your cooking in a while,” her mother said before heading to her room.
Jiya went into the kitchen and started preparing dinner. A while later, she served the food, and the family sat together, sharing laughter and stories over the meal. After dinner, Jiya and her mother cleaned the dishes.
Her mother asked, “Jiya, are you sure everything is okay? You can always talk to me if something is bothering you…”
