A boy, sitting on his knees, holding a ring in his hands, is standing in front of a girl. The boy's name is Mayank Malhotra.

"Jiya, I love you. I've wanted to tell you for a long time, but I never had the courage. Will you be my girlfriend?" Mayank says, extending the ring towards Jiya, looking at her with loving eyes.

"Yes, why not, Mayank. I've had a crush on you for a long time too. But I never had the courage to tell you because you’re so rich, and I come from a middle-class family. And this feels like a dream, that you're proposing to me." Jiya says, smiling.

Mayank stands up and places the beautiful diamond ring on Jiya’s finger. Then, as Mayank is about to lean in to kiss Jiya, a voice interrupts.

"Jiya, oh Jiya! When will you wake up? Your college time is coming up. Don’t you plan on going to college today?"

Suddenly, Jiya’s dream is broken.

"Mom, I was having such a good dream. Just at the right time, you came and woke me up." Jiya says angrily to her mother.

"Yeah, keep dreaming. Dreaming won’t make it a reality. Now, get up quietly, or I’ll come and pour a glass of water on you." Jiya’s mother, Gayatri, says.

Jiya stretches and gets up, rushing to take a shower.

(So, let me tell you about Jiya's family. There are only two people in her family—her mother, Gayatri Kapoor, and her younger brother, Karan. Jiya’s father passed away many years ago, and all the responsibilities fell on Jiya’s shoulders.)

Jiya comes out of the shower, wearing a pink kurti. Her long black hair and the cute mole on her cheek add to her beauty.

"Okay, Mom, I’m leaving. Take care of yourself and Karan. I’ll be late coming back today. I have to work my part-time job." Jiya says and waves goodbye to her mother before heading to college.

Jiya studies at a famous college in Nainital. She didn’t have enough money to pay the monthly fees for the college, but Jiya is very talented, and because of this, she got a scholarship to study there. This is Jiya’s second year.

Jiya arrives at college. Everyone bullies her because she comes from a middle-class family, and this college is full of rich kids.

After finishing college, Jiya goes to her part-time job at a small restaurant.

Jiya is standing at the reception, taking orders from customers. Suddenly, she hears a familiar voice.

"Hey, Miss Jiya, come take my order."

When Jiya looks in that direction, her face loses color.

(This boy’s name is Sagar Oberoi, and he is about to become the owner of one of India’s top 10 companies. Sagar always teases poor people, and he enjoys making Jiya feel uncomfortable.)

Jiya doesn’t feel good about this, but still, she goes up to him. With a fake smile on her face, she says to Sagar, "Yes, Sir. What would you like to order?"

As soon as she says this, a mischievous grin spreads across Sagar’s face.

"Bring me that dish which is beyond what you can afford," Sagar says, laughing loudly.

Hearing this, Jiya's face falls.

"Sir, this dish is our restaurant's most expensive dish. Should I bring it for you?" Jiya hesitantly asks.

"Yes, yes, bring it. I can afford the most expensive food in this restaurant because I never lack money. After all, people like you can’t afford this food. You have to work part-time jobs along with college because you can’t even pay your college fees." Sagar says with a lot of attitude.

"Okay, Sir. I’ll bring it right away," Jiya says and walks away.

On the other side, Sagar and his friends continue to make fun of her, but Jiya can’t do anything because this job is very important to her.

"That’s why I don’t like rich people at all. They don’t have a heart. They only measure people by money," Jiya thinks to herself as she goes to get Sagar’s order.
