°•CHAPTER ⁵•°

When Tara's father came to visit her daughters, her mother was focused entirely on her second daughter. When Tara saw her father, she shivered and trembled. She was aware of the atmosphere in the room and had a mixture of eagerness and anxiety, While her mother was preoccupied with her sibling, Tara pondered whether her father would even notice her. However, Grandpa made sure to offer Tara a comforting pat on the back and a loving smile before returning his focus to her sister since he saw it and knew this would happen. In that vulnerable moment, Tara was thankful for her grandfather's support and understanding in the interim, Aditi, her sister, chuckled as she held Tara's hand tenderly, understanding her nervousness. Tara appreciated the gesture of sisterly comfort and felt a sense of unity despite the tension in the room because she made her sister safe for a while. When she saw her sister smile and not let Tara's hand go, Tara knew that everything would be okay as long as they had each other's support. The bond between the sisters was unbreakable, and Tara felt a wave of gratitude for having Aditi by her side during this difficult time. Aditi's unwavering presence gave Tara the strength she needed to face the challenges ahead, knowing that she was not alone in her struggles. The sisters' bond grew stronger as they faced adversity together, providing each other with the comfort and reassurance they both needed. As they worked through the storm together, they supported one another by confiding in one another's hopes and anxieties. For Tara, Aditi's consoling words and reassuring presence were like a lifeline, getting her through her darkest hours and letting her know that there was hope. Tara experienced a renewed feeling of fortitude and resolve with Aditi at her side, prepared to take on any challenges that might arise. They had to move after a while since Dad had to move for work. Dad and Mom took me along with Aditi. There is a huge home and a small village somewhere else (keep in mind that Mom loves to spend money and Dad is too dumb to know). Aditi was standing there grinning warmly, ready to greet us as we entered the house, my eyes wide with shock. She brought with her a feeling of familiarity and comfort that eased the fear of starting over in a new area and made the adjustment easier for all of us. Tara jumped and became frightened when she realised there was a dog in a cage. She feared Luke Skywalker would bite her, so her mother shielded her from him. Mom subsequently expressed regret for abandoning me in Bangalore too late, knowing that I am afraid of people, animals, and dogs. She apologised a few months later.

When Mom apologised, Tara remained silent because she was so wounded. She said, "It's okay. but for some reason, I've never wanted to be her daughter. And she will never be my mother after so much hurt and leaving me."
