It was non other than kaede himself. He walked towards Yuki. "Seems you both are really good friends" he said. Yuki was a bit confused with his behavior. "You must be going home right? Ha, anyway I'm just hear to tell you one thing. Don't. Get. Too. Close. With mie. You get it? You should know the reason why I'm telling you this. I couldn't care much about your feelings, all I'm worried about is her. Take my advice and leave her alone. Don't get on my bad side." He finished. Yuki flinched on his words. The thought of losing the only friend he made was not a good idea for him, But he couldn't disagree with kaede, atleast not for now. He just nodded his head in reply. "I need an answer. Open your mouth kid" saying this he wrapped his collar and pulled him upwards. Yuki was too afraid to say anything. His body started trembling a bit and his eyes became a bit watery. He didn't cry but tears were threatening to spill from his eyes. "I...I.. w-won't talk t-to.. her... I-im.. sorry...sorry..." He said, "l-let me.. go.. p-please..." Seeing him almost cry, kaede immediately let go of him."woah! Why are you crying! You are making it seems like I'm bullying you!". Yuki could finally breath properly when he was free. "T-thank you..." He said stuttering."tch, why are thanking me for something like this? Disgusting!" Kaede said. He was irritated with Yuki's behaviour. Little did he knew, it was all because of his past. Kaede left after saying "keep what I said in your mind". Yuki just stood there, relieved that he was left alone now.

He reached home later than he should due to the incident and his "parents" found no good reason than this to scold and beat him. They couldn't tell him directly to leave their house so they took all the chances they could to scare him or drive him away from their house.

"where were you??!" his "mother" shouted. "I was a bit late.. I was talking to a friend, I'm sorry..." he lied. He knew saying the truth would make no difference to them. "oh! So now you are ditching us? You've got some nerves!" she said loudly. "n-no I'm not, t-trust me.. I-" he was cut out by his younger cousin brother, who was in the same school as him. "oh shut it dude! I need some silence". "oh I'm sorry honey, please continue what you were doing, don't mind us, and you Yuki! clean the kitchen before going to bed and no dinner today, You have to learn some discipline. Yuki just nodded his head in silence and left for his room to wash up. After finishing his works at kitchen he went straight to bed. As it was his first day, teachers didn't give him any work . He laid down in his bed thinking about the things that happened today. "...I should avoid mie.. Or... He will....but, she is the only friend I have there.. No, it will be alright, I will make other friends, that's enough. I cannot get bullied here too! I have to be careful." he thought in his mind. Suddenly kaede came to his mind. "he must have really liked her to say those things to me, but does mie like him back? anyhow he looks strong.. I can't get on his bad side." were his thoughts, when sleep finally took control on his mind and he finally drifted away into dreams.
