Chapter 1 Through the Looking Glass

'It all started with a girl doing a stroll around a garden. She is near a fence, when something caught her attention, it is a hare, too big for a rabbit. She decides to follow it, and finds herself squeezing through a hole, heedless as to how to get out again.'

As my classmate continue to read, we all stare in front waiting for the time to hit 12 o'clock.

"Evie, lunch?" - I heard while my very best ffriendnext to me asked.

"I'll pass" as I really doesn't a fund to go eat and our class we're only till 3pm today.

"Oh, okay I'll just bring some bread later, okay?" with a smile on here face.

That's Emily Anchetta my good friend since Grade 9 Junior high and we are now at Grade 12.

Lunch is normally 1 hour so I think I just sleep until Emily comes back.

I will be docking my head to my desk but there is someone who tap my shoulder.

" Evie Almilla, right?" ----

"Yes?"- I answered

He moves closer into my ear and whispers. "Atropa Belladonna"

I've never be calmer into my life. Then before leaving he leaves a note putting it into my hand.

I docked my head under my desk and look of what's written in it. It only says "CODE"

My eyebrows crossed cause this is weird. What code? As I speak for myself.

I look at the window that at the side of the corridor and I saw him walking pass my side as he looks at me at the side of his eyes and he smirk.

" Eeeeeevie!!!" said Emily while she is literally waving her hand in front of my face.

"What happen?" she asked curiously.

I just answer with shaking my head from left to right.

"Here is your bread and it has a promo so I also got you a yogurt too, so that you'll have no hard time swallowing it." -as she handed it to me and advised me to eat it immediately, cause I only have 15 minutes time and our break will be over.

"Add it into my balance, this is a credit." - I am to shy to say thank you but I think she knows what I mean.

"Okay, okay." she sarcastically answers.

After Class;

Emily got home first cause she has private driver and we go separate ways. So I walk home, but before that I will go to my part time job at a noodle shop as a waitress.

"Hello, boss!" as I wave and time in for my shift.

"You will be handling the deliveries today Evie." -- boss telling it to me cause I know how to drive and I could use some extra cash.

"Noted." - I answered with a thumbs up.

30 minutes that I have been time in, there are no costumers for deliveries.

And there is this kid who walked the shop no shoes and a black eye at the left side. She orders at the shop owner for delivery. And he handed me a paper of order.

The shop owner whisper unto my ear the location of the delivery.

"Okay. I'll be back before my shift ends." - I waved goodbye the drove off.

At the location;

"Hi, delivery!!" I shouted

The place looked abandon but it is quite big. There are no doorbells and the gate are open, ohh even the door.

"HELLO!!!" I shouted again and this time I hear someone moaning or groaning something like that.

Until I find him. His at the 2nd floor of the house tied up infront of the dinner table.

"Uhmm, Sir?" -while I walk slowly near him.

Then I remove the tape covering his mouth.

"Did you avail a delivery?" I asked him curious of what have happen.

"I didn't mean to hurt them.!" - he murmur, that echoed all over the dining room.

"I didn't mean too." as the knife that I was holding, is now through his left legs.

He let a scream that is heard from all the corners of the house.

As I pull it out and let him talk.

"How much?" he asked while he, himself is gasping for air and doing some loud heavy breathing.

The question left a ringing in my ear.

"Money??" I giggled a bit "Can I think about it??""" while my eyes wide and a blank stare, and a smile from ear to ear.

He started sobbing, while he looks outside to seek for a soul to help.

"Actually, I want like you to know. That I am already been paid." - I whispered sarcastically. "So it doesn't matter now if you have much more money that the one who pays me..." -I remember 50.

"and 48, 49, 50. Hellooooo. Are you still alive???" -lively asking him after 50x stabbing him all over his body.

He groaned and moaned but not a word.

"Here, have some berries." I fed him 2 berries and pushing them into his mouth with my index finger so he could swallow.

"Isn't it sweet? Goodbye, Mr. Leandro" as I look at him and smile like I'd just met my first love. As I walked away and passed through the door I even hang him a purple flower.
