CRIMSON MOON

CRIMSON MOON

A letter

"FUCK! I WANT YOU. Do you know how much I missed you. Everything about you. Your taste, your moans, your pleas. Everything. I want it all...it hurt terribly when you were away. I want to reclaim you over again."

Four kingdoms were known to exist. But for over a thousand years, a rift was created between them, hence a hatred lasting for millennials known to exist amongst them.

The Frost kingdom claimed the North, Flame kingdom - South, the Sun kingdom dominated the East; and the Night kingdom lay in the West.

In which case, all beings of the four kingdoms had an ultimate true form of dragons, but the true transformation was achieved by the true heirs of each lineage.

The frost kingdom was however, the most hated despite other kingdoms not getting along.

Situated in the center of the four cardinal points, was a 'No man's land.' It was were all grand meetings were held that involved the kingdoms to come together in one place.

There, a truce is called upon.

Many other races such as dwarves, fairies, druids, giants, centaurs etc. sought refuge and made it the most prepossessing place to be. Only those of royal bloodline had access to it.

...****************...

"What!" Fronheis exclaimed as he placed the letter onto his table. "I wonder what's going on in that puny little head of his," he continued as a small puff escaped his lips.

Discarding the emerald green pipe into his silver tray, he turned to his wife, Neomal. His cocoa brown skin glistening with the golden candles that illuminated his grand study the size of a large gazebo.

His wife's jade orange skin glowed with every flicker of her husband's soft gaze upon her. She trotted to his side and gently placed her small hands her husband's and asked, "What is it that the Flame kingdom's emperor - Rodengard requires of us this time?"

Like the cool waves on a chilly evening, her voice calmed him down. "He has called for a Jyed," he sighed.

A Jyed was the truce meeting where the four kingdoms' royals would come together and put their differences aside in the 'No man's lands.'

"How long will it last? Your reaction seemed as though it would be more than a few hours."

"4 day-"

"4 DAYS!?" Neomal burst out, "4 full days? What is he thinking. We can barely survive an hour with those scumbags let alone 4 days."

Satisfied with his wife's reaction, "Calm down dear. He rarely ever does this. Besides, its the first Jyed in 500 years. He probably has a justifiable reason for that," as he pecked her forehead and slowly pulled her into his arms.

A short moment later, Fronheis heard a faint knock on the other side of the door. He immediately sensed his daughter and called her in.

"Should I come again later?" Xenroth asked the moment she entered and her expression immediately fell short of intrigue because, of all the things she had to walk in on, it had to be when her parents were being all lovey-dovey with each other again.

"No no it's alright," her dad said and motioned for her to come closer.

"Your hair keeps turning silver, the hint of blue is fading," her mom pointed out with concern.

"Not my fault dad had to have ocean blue hair, and you had to have crystal silver," she teased with her tongue out.

They all laughed and Xenroth felt a change in atmosphere.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"Rodengard asked for a Jyed," Neomal replied.

She had the same reaction as her parents, but it lasted for a few seconds as it was replaced with fascination.

Xenroth had never went out of the Frost kingdom in all her 350 years (18 human years) of life.

This was an opportunity to explore the outer world and meet all the outrageous individuals who declared targets on her kingdom.

"Do you think their safe from her?" Neomal whispered to Fronheis.

"We hid her from them all this time, its only right we take our strongest weapon to defend ourselves. After all, we're getting old," he replied soflty.

"You both realise I can hear you right?" Xenroth said with a chuckle.

"Darn your sharp hearing," her mother teased and she laughed at her parents who were worried she would make trouble for the other kingdoms. Which, in her defense, is only right she did.

"Well then, we ride at dawn," Fronheis informed them.
