The wind howled through the cracked windows of the abandoned factory, sending a shiver through the decaying walls.
The building, once a thriving industrial center, was now a tomb of memories and broken dreams.
Rusted machinery stood like silent sentinels, watching over the man lying on the cold, grimy floor.
Theodore Shane, once powerful and feared, now lay bruised and battered, his wrists bound tightly behind his back.
THEODORE V. SHANE
Ahh~ *severely injured*
Blood trickled from a cut above his brow, and his breathing was shallow and labored.
His thoughts were a haze of pain and confusion, but anger flickered within him as the echo of footsteps reached his ears.
Theodore forced his eyes open, blinking against the darkness, struggling to focus.
A figure emerged from the shadows, a cruel smirk etched on their lips. Even in his weakened state, Theodore recognized him immediately.

*mockingly, voice was rich with venom, each word dripping with sarcasm*
The man, tall and imposing, looked down at Theodore with cold amusement.
Theodore’s heart pounded in his chest. He knew that voice all too well.
He rasped, barely able to force the word out.
The man chuckled, a sound that chilled Theodore to the bone.

It seems you still have some strength left in you,
He remarked, kneeling beside Theodore. The dim light revealed his face fully now—it was Ricardo Fritz, Theodore’s trusted friend, or so he had believed.
THEODORE V. SHANE
You bastard!
Theodore spat, his voice hoarse with fury.
THEODORE V. SHANE
How can you betray me?
Do you think that by kidnapping me, you’ve won? You’re completely delusional!
Ricardo’s smirk widened, his eyes gleaming with dark satisfaction
RICARDO FRITZ
Theodore, this isn’t about winning.
RICARDO FRITZ
The truth is, you were defeated long before you even knew there was a game.
Theodore’s mind raced, trying to make sense of Ricardo’s words.
THEODORE V. SHANE
What the hell are you talking about?
*demanded, though his voice was weakening*
Ricardo rose to his feet, looking down at Theodore as if he were a bug to be crushed.
RICARDO FRITZ
You’ve always believed yourself to be in control, didn’t you?
RICARDO FRITZ
The master of your destiny, the king of your empire.

But in reality, you were nothing more than a puppet.😏
Theodore’s heart sank, a sickening feeling of dread creeping over him.

Ricardo interrupted, his tone calm and measured,

Theodore’s world seemed to tilt on its axis.

Ricardo replied, a cruel smile playing on his lips.

I wasn’t alone in this venture. I had help from someone very close to you.
Before Theodore could respond, the door to the darkened room creaked open, and another figure stepped inside—a woman, tall and poised, with an icy demeanor that sent a chill through Theodore’s soul.
THEODORE V. SHANE
*shocked to core*
His breath caught in his throat as she approached, her heels clicking ominously on the concrete floor.
He whispered, his voice trembling with disbelief.
Elena’s lips curled into a sneer as she stopped beside Ricardo, slipping her arm through his as though it was the most natural thing in the world.
ELENA LEE
Surprised to see me, Theo baby? *babish voice, mockingly*
She asked, her tone dripping with mockery.
Theodore’s mind reeled. Elena, the woman he had loved, the woman for whom he had sacrificed so much—was standing there, her eyes filled with nothing but disdain.
THEODORE V. SHANE
Why, Elena? Why are you doing this?
His voice was thick with a mixture of pain and betrayal
THEODORE V. SHANE
I did everything for you. I loved you...
Elena laughed, a cold, hollow sound that echoed through the empty factory.
ELENA LEE
Theodore, you were obsessed with me,
ELENA LEE
And that’s what made you so easy to manipulate. 😏
ELENA LEE
You were so blinded by your own desires that you never saw what was really happening. 😆
Theodore’s heart twisted with the realization of how completely he had been deceived.
THEODORE V. SHANE

He said, his voice barely above a whisper.
ELENA LEE
Of course, I did, 😁
Elena said, her tone turning sharp.
ELENA LEE
You were nothing more than a means to an end. I played the role of your devoted lover while planning your downfall with Ricardo.
THEODORE V. SHANE
You’re nothing but a greedy, selfish woman

THEODORE V. SHANE
You betrayed me for power?”
Elena’s eyes narrowed, her gaze turning icy.
ELENA LEE
Power? That’s part of it.
ELENA LEE
But this was never just about power, Theodore.
ELENA LEE
It was about taking what you thought was rightfully yours and making it ours.
Ricardo, who had been silent, spoke up, his voice low and filled with bitterness

Theodore turned his gaze to Ricardo, confusion clouding his thoughts.

Ricardo’s expression hardened, his eyes cold

Theodore frowned, struggling to understand

Theodore’s eyes widened, shock coursing through him.
Ricardo’s smirk was cruel as he spoke.
RICARDO FRITZ
We’re brothers, Theodore 😏
THEODORE V. SHANE
Of course, I've always considered you my brother 😢
RICARDO FRITZ
Nah, not just considering, my friend

Theodore’s breath caught in his throat, his mind reeling.

Theodore felt as though the ground was crumbling beneath him.

Ricardo’s expression turned dark.

Theodore’s mind whirled with the enormity of the revelation.
His mother, the woman he had trusted, respected more than anyone, had lied to him his entire life. Hide such a big truth from him
And now, the man he had seen as a brother in spirit was revealed to be his actual brother—and his worst enemy.
Ricardo’s expression remained cold, but there was something else in his eyes now—something darker, something more tragic.
Theodore could feel the weight of years of pain, of betrayal, of manipulation, hanging between them like a dark cloud.

Ricardo continued, his voice lower now, menacing

Theodore’s head spun as the pieces started to fall into place. He had known his mother’s marriage to his father had always been strained, loveless even, but he had never imagined the depth of her resentment.

So she married him to secure the inheritance...
*whispered, finally understanding*

I knew she despised him,….but even more than him she must have despised ..m-me.
Ricardo nodded, his expression grim
RICARDO FRITZ
Despised him, and everything he represented, that include his beloved son

He was a constant reminder of what she had lost—of the life she could have had.

And so, she did everything in her power to destroy him.

She tried manipulating him, tried alienating him from his allies, but nothing worked to her favor.
THEODORE V. SHANE
So she turned to me...*whispered*
RICARDO FRITZ

Turned you into her weapon.
Theodore’s heart clenched as Ricardo’s words hit home. He had always believed in his mother’s righteousness, her strength.
But now, he could see how she had used him, molding him into the perfect tool to further her own twisted goals.
THEODORE V. SHANE
And you... you were part of that plan?
RICARDO FRITZ
What do you think?
RICARDO FRITZ
At first, I was just a secret, something she hid away.

But as I grew older, she saw potential in me—potential to exact revenge on the man who had taken everything from her.

Theodore’s world crumbled around him. The mother he had revered was nothing more than a master manipulator, pulling strings behind the scenes, setting her sons against each other.

Elena, who had been silent during Ricardo’s confession, suddenly interjected, her voice sharp and dripping with disdain.
ELENA LEE
You’re wasting your breath, Ricardo.
ELENA LEE
He doesn’t deserve our pity or our explanations.
ELENA LEE
Theodore was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, always the golden child.
ELENA LEE
Meanwhile, you were left to fend for ourselves in the shadows. You should feel nothing but satisfaction seeing him finally brought to his knees.
Theodore look at her,his heart shattered. Elena was the woman he had loved dearly, the one for whom he had sacrificed so much. He had mistreated his own wife, Lena, for Elena’s sake. Now, here she was, mocking him, betraying him in the worst possible way.
