Every love story typically features four main characters.

She, Anastasia, paid for her sister the villainess's crimes, who justified her actions with a cheap excuse, claiming she was enchanted by her and wasn’t in her right mind when committing those wrongdoings.

The mother of this, Rosina, wife of the duke and stepmother to Anastasia, also insisted that the poor girl had enchanted her innocent daughter, and even hired a priest to lie about it.

As a result, Anastasia was imprisoned for a month in a tower, devoid of light and proper ventilation. Her father, the duke, moved heaven and earth to find evidence in support of his daughter's innocence, but her stepmother and Sabrina made it impossible for him to discover anything.

However, the more he searched, the worse the situation became for his daughter Anastasia, making her death inevitable, as well as his own, leaving his current wife with all his great fortune.

In the end, the villainess, knowing that all eyes were on her, ceased her wrongdoing, and years later, she married the villain, leaving her malicious ways behind forever.

Anastasia's life was never good; her mother, a beautiful woman from a good family, died when she was 8 years old, and two years after that woman's death, her father, Duke Mariano Alboran, married a woman named Rosina Diaz, who was a widow of the late Marquis Rogelio Diaz. That woman married because she was in ruin and, using cheap tricks, managed to marry the duke.

This woman had a daughter, and that daughter was Sabrina, from her previous marriage to the deceased marquis.

Rosina was cunning, and her goal was always to seize the fortune of Duke Mariano Alboran. For that reason, she plotted to kill Anastasia more than once, and the last thing she did to overshadow her was to enlist the help of a witch, causing the poor girl's body to undergo horrific changes.

The changes Anastasia suffered were terrifying; her body inexplicably became covered in hair, which made all the servants of the mansion feel fear when serving her, and for that reason, no one would help her.

To avoid problems, the duke himself served her and educated her as best he could, but when he was away, the little girl was at the mercy of that woman, who along with her daughter would humiliate and mistreat her.

If she refused to be a maid, Rosina would leave her without food for days, and soon she discovered that resisting her stepmother was an impossible task.

Fortunately, the life of that girl changed when she turned 18, and her father, during one of his business trips, saved a woman, who turned out to be a powerful witch.

The duke told her about his daughter's situation, and the woman offered to purify the girl's body as a form of gratitude.

When that man arrived at the mansion with the woman who had purified Anastasia's body, Rosina was very angry about it, as now the girl was well, but there was nothing she could do about it but endure in silence.

The state of that girl changed only in appearance, as behind the duke's back, she was still suffering greatly, so much so that she could not fully awaken her light magic. Her mana flow was weak, not only because her body was, but also because her will was as well.

The day before she was accused by that woman and her daughter, Anastasia had fallen down the stairs, fracturing several ribs, breaking a leg, and suffering a severe blow to the head—all thanks to Rosina, who had pushed her down the stairs. By some miracle or curse, she survived only to be captured and taken to the dungeon at just 20 years of age.

In the end, the young woman was beheaded, and her father was killed as well.

Meanwhile, Rosina and her daughter were left with the entire family fortune, just as they had desired.
