Night came, but Meo couldn’t fall asleep. She sighed as she got up, it felt quite lonely without someone else.
Meo looked out her real window, looking at the real stars in the sky.
She heard a bang and a ‘ouch’, who could be awake at this time?
Meo peeked through the door and saw someone walking away quickly. She slowly got out and followed the person, wondering where they were going.
The person touched a picture and walked through it.
Meo stared, shocked of all the mysterious and secret entrances in SilverDream School Of Magic.
Meo went through the picture, and in a flash, she was outside the school, sitting on a swing. There were flowers and vines wrapped around the swing, they had a nice ocean view from here.
She then realized that the person she had followed was Koichi, and he was staring sadly at the sky, not noticing Meo. Even though Koichi was cold to her, she felt bad for him, nobody deserved to feel as sad as he was.
“Koi, what’s wrong?” Meo asked. (Koi is what Meo called Koichi)
He looked surprised for a second when he realized Meo was there. Meo either looked trustworthy, or just had a way to get people talking, cause Koichi was soon telling Meo what had happened.
“My real parents... are horrible people. I found out in the letter I got from my adoptive parents. My real parents used some kind of teleportation system to go to the other side, where I was. They then had a fight with my adoptive parents just because they bumped into them. No matter how much my adoptive parents apologized, my real parents refused to forgive them. They saw this fight as a chance, and pushed me, barely conscious after crossing the border, at my adoptive parents. They then left me there, with my adoptive parents. Now I won’t have any parents to go back to, cause I can’t go back to my real parents, because they are horrible people. I also can’t go back to my adoptive parents, because they are on the other side of the border. What do I do now?” Koichi Said. His eyes were dull and blank with sadness.
Meo stared in shock, he didn’t deserve this, no wonder why he was cranky! She knew she should help him, and she was going to.
“Why don’t you stay with me and my parents when it’s time to go back?” Meo Said.
She didn’t really give any thought into what she said, she just hoped her parents would be okay with it.
“Really?” Koichi asked, hope and relief now in his eyes.
Someone blew their nose, and both Meo and Koichi jumped up in surprise.
“That...is so sweeeeeet!” Roy cried dramatically.
Meo and Koichi shared a look, and they all laughed.
“Anyways, how did you discover the secret entrance here?” Meo asked Koichi.
“I explored over here, and found it.” Koichi Said.
“And I, followed you guys here when I noticed Meo following you.” Roy Said.
“Let’s get back to bed before we get caught.” Koichi Said. He then left, and soon after, Roy and Meo left.
Despite last night’s encounter, Koi was still quite cold to everyone. Meo watched as he walked past the waving Roy, not noticing him at all. Roy walked toward Meo sadly.
“I thought we got him to be friendly toward us.” Roy Said sadly.
Meo patted him on the shoulder and said sympathetically,” It might take him longer to change. Let’s just give him some time alright?”
Roy nodded and said,”Let’s go get your uniform now.”
Meo nodded and followed Roy.
The uniforms were really pretty. They had a long, sparkling, silver cloak with a long, glittering white shirt underneath. The shirt had a moon and stars around the words ‘SilverDream’, and the uniform came with the choice pants or skirts. Meo grabbed both(it’s best to be prepared to use both right?) and Roy and her, walked back to the main room(the place where the dorms and chill area is). Meo put on her uniform and talked with Roy.
“When’s our first class?” Meo asked Roy.
“In about 15 minutes. Anyways, what was school like for you?” Roy asked.
“Well, I wasn’t liked much, some students even hated me. It was all because of one day, a popular girl called Anne was spreading rumors about Koi. I stood up for him, but she just got mad at me and spread rumors about me. Since then, students stood away from me. Even the ones who disagreed with Anne stood away from me, I can’t blame them tho, Anne would probably spread rumors about them if they stood up for me.” Meo Said.
“That’s... harsh. Why isn’t Koi friends with you now? You stood up for him, wasn’t he nicer to you?” Roy asked.
“Well, I heard some students say he was less cold towards me, but I didn’t believe them. He used to always bump into me! Can you believe that?!” Meo Said with a note of sarcasm in her voice.
“Hahhahahhaha! That’s hilarious!” Roy Said.
“What’s so funny, shortie?” Koi Said as he appeared out of nowhere.
“For your information, I am not-“ Meo began but didn’t have a chance to finish.
“We are gonna be late!” Roy screamed as he grabbed Meo and Koi and dragged them to class.
“Students, today we will find out the new students power!” Siver Said.
Meo excitedly exchanged a look with Roy.
“Let’s start with Nick. Come here and wave the Path Wand.” Dreamy Said, she held a wand that looked very ancient. Nick nervously walked forward and gingerly waved the wand. There were sparkles everywhere, and the light formed the words ‘gifted with the ability of light’.
“I am officially calling you sparkle boy from now on.” Meo told Nick. He grinned and gave the Path Wand back to Dreamy.
“Kitori, would you like to find your ability next?” Siver asked. Meo nodded and grabbed the Path Wand. Once the wand made contact with her skin, it began to shake violently. The wand burst, and many different abilities sparkled down where the Path Wand once was. Everyone stared, shocked.
“It seems like your magic is very strong.” Siver Said slowly.
“Is that... all the abilities I have?” Meo asked.
“Most of the time, people have one main ability, but you are different. I expect many wonderful things coming from you.” Siver Said. Meo didn’t like the pressure of having to impress and be better than everyone, it wasn’t what she wanted. Though, since when has anybody cared about her opinion? It didn’t matter how she felt, she just had to accept that she had many powers she had.
“Looks like the wand exploded, sorry about that.” Meo Said.
“No worries, we always have a second! It’s best to be prepared.” Dreamy Said cheerfully.
Koichi exploded the wand. Ash exploded the wand. Stella exploded the wand. Zhang exploded the wand. Daiki exploded the wand. Roy exploded the wand. Somehow, the Magic mentors, the twins, seemed to always have another wand.
“That was quite a day.” Roy Said to Meo as they walked together after class.
“I know right! How many wands do you think they have?” Meo asked.
“I’m betting a hundred or so.” Roy Said.
“Who knew so many wands existed!” Meo mused.
“Anyways, any news with Koi?” Roy asked quietly.
They felt sad for Koi, his parents were so mean and cruel to him. Giving him away like he was some toy.
“You know, I feel like punching them in the face! Respect your elders? More like respect your children! Be grateful for what you have you ungrateful lazy scumbags!” Meo Said.
Meo and Roy shared a smile.
“Well, goodnight.” Meo Said as she walked to her dorm.
Everyone headed to their door, Meo settled in her bed.
Her dorm had been designed for her. Almost everything was floating. She had a very big openable window, like everyone else. Her window had flowers and vines hanging from it.
Her bed was a floating cloud, that could shape into anything she wanted. She had shelves with books on them, a few books were floating near the shelf. There was a white desk attached to the wall, a few pictures of Meo’s cats and Coco were on it.
Since you could magic what you wanted to wear, Meo had no closet. She had flowers hanging down like ropes in a corner, the corner had a floating cloud as a seat.
Meo heard some screaming, she headed towards her door and peeked out.
“I can’t! I’m the monster! You need to let me go!” Siver desperately cried.
Meo felt bad for him, she noticed his eyes turning dull and black. His forehead was covered with sweat, Siver’s usually neat hair was messy.
“I can’t let you go! What about our promise?” Dreamy cried.
Poor Dreamy, Meo didn’t know what situation they were in, but she could tell it was pressuring both of them.
“They will have to defeat it! We have no choice Dreamy!” Siver screamed.
“We need time to sort this out. I’ll cancel tomorrow’s class.” Dreamy Said quietly.
The Magic mentors walked away.
Meo went back into her room. What had happened?
