Episode 9
Aubrey Kung
Take a shower and we’ll have a walk.
She knew there was no way of talking her way out of it.
The two of them walked and her eyes focused on the ground.
Aubrey Kung
Look around you.
It was funny how Aubrey was the one saying this now.
Aubrey Kung
Look over there.
He pointed at the mountains.
Aubrey Kung
Give me your new phone.
It’s more like he rummaged through her bag.
Aubrey Kung
I’ll take a picture of you, so smile.
This was all funny to Nina.
She ended up laughing which released much of the tension in her chest.
Nina Sze
You’re worried about me?
Aubrey thought about denying it, but he knew that she needed to hear it.
Aubrey Kung
I’m worried about you.
Someone was actually worried for her and that warmed her heart even though it was the tyrant, Aubrey Kung, who said it.
She began to cry with a smile on her face.
Nina Sze
Thank you Aubrey.
She looked at him and he had a genuine smile on his face.
He was already good looking but his smile was something else.
Aubrey Kung
Let’s feed the ducks.
He took out bread and crackers from his bag and he crouched down.
When ducklings began to gather around him, he was flustered and Nina took out her phone to record this moment.
Aubrey Kung
Help me out Nina!
Nina Sze
You’re on your own!
She was laughing her heart out, eventually Aubrey threw the crumbs on the pond and they followed after it. He closed up the crackers and bread before shoving it inside Nina’s bag.
Nina Sze
What did you think?
Aubrey Kung
I’m never feeding them again.
At night time, Aubrey called her out. The two of them sat on the porch while looking up at the night sky filled with stars.
Suddenly, there were shooting stars.
Aubrey Kung
Make a wish, Nina.
There were many things she wished she could’ve fixed, but right now she only though about how...
“I wish everyday would be like this.”
Nina Sze
What did you wish for?
Aubrey Kung
For your wish to come true.
It was as if time froze and Nina heard her heart beating loudly for him.
He leaned in closer and she shut her eyes.
Aubrey Kung
I can’t do this.
