Classes went by and nothing much happened except for professor lecturing, some students sleeping, some sneakingly munching on snacks and some trying to take notes.
As the bell rang, signaling the start of lunch, the students began to file out of the classroom.
Arien stayed in his seat for a moment, trying to gather his things.
Zyran
Hey, fatty! You coming or what? I'm starving.
Arien swallowed and nodded, picking up his backpack.
Arien [MC]
Y-yeah, I'm coming...(mumbled)
But he stumbled a bit as he stood up, his chubby body not quite cooperating...
Zyran
(smirked) You know you should really lose some weight, fatass.
Zyran
You're slow as a turtle~
Arien wanted to snap back at Zyran, but the words got stuck in his throat.
Instead, he just looked down, feeling the familiar sting of embarrassment.
Arien [MC]
I... I know. I'm trying...
Zyran
(chuckles) Yeah right~
Zyran
You've been 'trying' for years, and look where that got you~
Arien's cheeks burned as Zyran's words cut into him. He could feel the tears building up in his eyes, but he tried to hold them back.
Arien [MC]
I... I just can't seem to lose weight (whispered, his voice trembling slightly)
Zyran
(rolled his eyes) Yeah, yeah, excuses, excuses.
Zyran
You're just a weak-willed fatass who can't resist stuffing your face every chance you get.
Arien [MC]
(shoulders sagged and feeling hopeless)
He knew that Zyran was right in a way. He did have a hard time resisting food, especially when he was feeling stressed or sad.
But it wasn't just about willpower.
He had tried so many diets and exercise plans, but nothing seemed to work.
As Arien and Zyran walked into the cafeteria, Arien's sad and hopeless expression caught the eyes of some people, who were sitting at a nearby table.
One person's gaze lingered on Arien for a moment, noticing the tear-filled eyes and slumped shoulders.
A girl nudged one of her friends and subtly gestured towards Arien.

Hey, see that kid? The one with Zyran? (whispers)
The friend followed the gaze and nodded slightly.

Yeah, the piggy one? (whispers back)

(shoots his friend a scolding look)

Poor guy looks miserable...

(shrugged) Can you blame him?

Always being surrounded by Zyran and his gang, getting teased about his weight. I would be pretty miserable too...

(nods) Yeah, I guess you're right.

I just feel bad for him, you know? It's not easy being the constant target of Zyran's bullying.

(eyes still on Arien) He seems really sweet guy though.

Always tries to be friendly even when Zyran's being a dick.

I heard he once tried to bring cupcakes for Zyran's birthday, but Zyran ended up throwing them in his face and calling him a fatass. (pouts)

We don't even really know anything about this guy.

His friends looked taken aback by the sudden sternness.

Yeah, sorry man. Just trying to figure out what's up with him...(mutters)

(expression softened a bit) I get it, but let's not jump to conclusions.

Let's just keep an eye on him and see if there's anything we can do to help, alright?
They nodded in agreement, and the conversation shifted to other topics.
But one of them kept his eye on Arien, who was now sitting alone at a table, pushing his food around his plate, clearly still upset.
