He opened his eyes and found himself in Arien's room. Looking down at himself, he could clearly see the pudgy body.

(mutters) Well, what now? ...

He got ready for classes and went downstairs only to find a note from his mother to eat outside with some money beside it, as she has urgent matter to attend...today too...

(sighs)

He leaves home with a bread and a banana in his hand.

As he walked down the hallway, he could feel the stares of his classmates on him, their whispers filling the air.

He felt so... Insecure in this body.

???¹: "Hey, look at that fatty." ???²: "He's such a loser." ???³: "Haha. I wonder what could have possibly been going through his head when he woke up and looked in the mirror this morning!"

(clenched his fists tightly, trying to ignore the comments)

The comments from his classmates cut into Arien deeply, each word like a dagger to his heart.

As Arien reached his classroom, he noticed that most of the students were already there, chatting amongst themselves. Some of them shot him looks filled with disgust or disbelief, and he could hear a few hushed whispers here and there.

The typical bully, known for his cruelty and arrogance. He is popular among the students for his athletic abilities and good looks. He enjoys tormenting Arien, the chubby and timid guy, who seems to be his favorite target for picking on. He is a heartbreaker to many girls in this college~

(smirks) Hey, fatass!

Zyran

You look even bigger today. Did you just eat a whole cake all by yourself?~

Arien's face turned pink as the bully jeered at him.

Despite his best efforts, he couldn't help but feel embarrassed and ashamed.

Arien [MC]

S-Shut up... I didn't eat any cake today...

Zyran

(chuckled as he came closer to Arien)

Oh, really?

Zyran

Then how did you manage to get even fatter than yesterday?

He poked Arien's belly, making it jiggle slightly.

Arien's cheeks burned with humiliation as Zyran poked his belly. He wanted to snap back at the bully, but his self-consciousness held him back.

Arien [MC]

I... I just... I haven't been able to exercise lately...(mumbled)

Zyran's smirk widened as he heard Arien's timid excuse.

Zyran

Oh, poor you. Can't exercise because you're too busy stuffing your face, huh?

Arien [MC]

(glares)

A random classmate walked by and snickered. ???: "Hehe, looks like the land whale is out of his cage today."

Zyran

💢Hey, watch your tone! That's my fatass.

The classmate chuckled. ???: "Oh, I'm sorry. Is it your pet or something?"

Zyran stepped forward, getting in the classmate's face.

Zyran

You'd better shut your mouth before I shut it for you.

Zyran

The classmate held up his hands in surrender. ???: "Whoa, chill, man. It was just a joke."

Zyran

(huffed, still glaring at the classmate)

Zyran

Yeah, well, your ‘joke’ wasn't funny. Mind your own business.

Arien looked at Zyran with a mix of confusion and annoyance.

Arien [MC]

💭 Why do you always have to be so... mean to me but then act all protective when others make comments?

As Arien looked at Zyran, he saw the bully glaring at the classmate who had made the comment. Then, he turned his gaze back towards Arien. Zyran rolled his eyes, his protective demeanor falling away as he spoke.

Zyran

What are you looking at, fatass?

Arien [MC]

N-Nothing... I was just... I... (mumbled and wasn't able to meet Zyran's gaze)

Zyran

Tch, you're always so damn timid!

Zyran

Grow some backbone, fatass!

Arien could feel the tears stinging the corners of his eyes, but he refused to let them fall.

Arien [MC]

(whispers) I... I'm trying...

Just as Zyran was about to say something else, the professor walked into the room, calling for everyone's attention.

"Alright, everyone, settle down," the professor said as she stood in front of the class. "We have a lot to cover today, so I need your full attention."

As the professor began lecturing, Arien struggled to make his way to his seat. It was always more difficult for him to navigate the rows of desks due to his size. Meanwhile, Zyran had already slumped back in his seat, drifting off to sleep.
