Mission 04: "Apoptosis"

Allesky awoke to her consciousness finding herself in a room she initially thought was the outer space because of how intricately and realistically painted its interior was, so exactly resembling the view of the outer space. If it were not because of the door which she easily recognized at the left part of her bedside would she have been convinced that her soul had already wandered off to the vastness of the universe beyond planet earth.

Unaware of her whereabouts and with budding questions in her mind, she arose from the soft fabric that coated her bed willfully unveiling herself with the blanket that once kept her in its warmth. At that moment, the door opened inviting in a presence of a familiar figure, he being the person whom Allesky undoubtedly believed to be the individual to first attack her during her arrival at the agency with Nickel. He is no other than the masked person suited in gray with his sapphire orbs peeking behind those eyeholes of the mask he wore. Indeed it was this person who also did a strange trick of using a single coin as his tool back then after turning it into a pole and using it against Allesky.

The unsettling feeling that came about from the first encounter Allesky faced with this masked person tempted her not to be defenseless that she quickly retreated out of the bed and marked a pose of one ready to attack or defend in any possible actions she might receive this time.

Just then did the masked person halt his pace laying the tray he had brought with him on the table beside Allesky's bed carefully as to not make any unnecessary noises so as to provoke Allesky from resorting to any violent or defensive intentions of action. He was strangely calm as compared to what he was like before at the parking area and he gently raised his arm to take off the entirety of the mask he was wearing.

By doing so, Allesky was surprised to discover his identity to be Nickel, the agent who infiltrated her grandfather's mansion and made her come to the agency in that strange car.

Nickel now amazingly turned his gray suit and the entirety of his clothes back into the black suit and the mask that only covered half of his face be it including his forehead, cheeks, and nose. It was as if he magically transformed back to the appearance that Allesky first saw him with back in her grandfather's mansion.

This sudden and mysterious change prompted Allesky to be all the more cautious of this man and the cloud of doubts began to hover in her mind.

"Hhuhhh?!" It was the priceless reaction of Allesky that Nickel even chuckled because of it.

"It's just me, Miss. It's not much of a shock, isn't it??" Spoke Nickel further asking how Allesky is feeling now.

Allesky narrowed her glare at him before lashing out her series of questions and offensive remarks of how and why Nickel ended up attacking her. She also insisted on asking to discover just who Nickel is until the door of the room opened once again inviting yet another somehow familiar individual who stepped in with her arms crossed over her chest and she closed the door behind her before leaning on it.

This other stranger's presence silenced Allesky for a few seconds before she finally uttered out her question of the lady's identity.

"Who are you this time?" Allesky felt chills in her spine recalling her first encounter with the person who just entered.

She is no other than the second person who attacked her and Allesky didn't quite like it when the lady faintly smirked to where she was leaning on.

This uncanny feeling probed Allesky to ask more desperately now rather than curious to know where she was or what is going on and why she was brought in this place and who are these people she is confined with in this room at the moment.

"Can you not shout, Test Positive?" There was an annoyance in the lady's voice when she finally spoke irking her eyes away before glaring at Allesky.

The lady was wearing a certain uniform that was really different from what Nickel was wearing but it also entailed the vibe of an agent.

She had those brilliant emerald irises which locked a glare at Allesky.  Her magenta hair tied in a single ponytail to the left side had one mint green streak extending from her right side that seemingly traced the direction of her ponytail. Her side bangs brushed to the right partly covering her right eye also had mint green streaks that gave off a striking appeal on it indirectly suggesting the lady's manner of gaze.

"Hey, Yttria~ Watch your mouth..." Nickel reprimanded glancing over once to the lady leaning on the door before bringing his sight back to Allesky.

"Shut up, Nickel. I can call her whatever names I intend to call her. Don't you boss me around or tell me what to do..." The lady who was called Yttria replied with a harsh tone and narrowed more intently her intimidating gaze at Allesky.

Allesky was rather uneasy with Yttria's presence yet she dared to speak her words out.

"And who might you be?"

"Heh? Ooh~ Your accent I believe is one that is not of this country. So you're similar to Nickel in that way? Hn. This agency is really full of half breeds~" Were the words spoken by Yttria without direct answer to Allesky's question.

By then, Nickel eyed Yttria to keep her from speaking more than what she had already said and a knock from outside the door interrupted the course of conversation going on.

Yttria moved away from the door upon opening it and someone who was wearing the same outfit uniform as her entered in. This person now happened to be a guy who had jet black hair brushed to the right back with two golden strands on the right side bangs and the 1/3 side on the left of the entirety of his hair. He was styled like a male pop idol with his endearing sleepy face holding on his left arm a cool-looking skateboard.

"She's being summoned by the Councilors. I was asked to escort her to the Zero Quarters. And one more thing... Did I hear you say that word again, Yttria?" The new guy said eyeing Yttria with his latter statement that became a thought to ponder for Allesky.

Yttria only rolled her eyes not merely replying more and just walked out of the room apparently leaving a quick scornful glance to Allesky 

The new guy shifted his sight to Allesky and bid her to follow after him with his sleepy voice.

Allesky was hesitant and untrusting that she desired not to be brought anywhere again but she was prompted by her instincts to just follow either way after Nickel glanced over at her so she followed after the guy going outside the room consciously avoiding any further contact with these strangers.

She walked the pathway a few meters behind the new guy with a lot of unanswered questions accumulating in her head that she did not even took her eyes off Nickel observing him and the other guy who still haven't introduced himself and who also used his skateboard as a means of his transportation heading towards their destination, that place which was mentioned as the 'Zero Quarters'.

The way to the Zero Quarters was quiet and Allesky saw none other persons as they ventured more deeper in the building. Its structure was not as ordinary in a way that it was more likely a special place with all these seemingly advanced technology-looking characteristics and features.

It indeed left an impression on Allesky and all she could do was simply admire and get curious of this place and these people not setting aside the idea that she might find danger in the vicinity of the place.

She was waiting as to when she could be enlightened properly regarding the place and all that she needed to know as answers to her pending questions.

Soon, they reached an elevator and they entered then they proceeded to another hallway until they entered a likely secluded place.

It resembled a conference room without anyone there but only her, Nickel and skateboard guy being present. Surprisingly, Yttria was also there and she was standing at a distance with her crossed arms.

"Thank you, Nickel. You've accomplished your mission. Please report yourself to the second Councilor immediately." Came this voice that sounded like an AI right before a projected screen appeared with a blurred figure in it.

Nickel left the room leaving the three to remain by themselves and they directed their attention to the screen before them.

"Welcome, Trial Zero Positive... It is with a warm welcome that you are brought to this agency, Apoptosis." The figure from the projected screen said.

"Who are you now?? I don't understand why there are a lot of people here that keep showing up." Allesky complained.

"It's complicated, I would rather say, Trial Zero Positive. We do apologize that you got involved in this organization but we need you in this agency. There's no one else but you for you are the only one and sole individual that matched in the vital stability operation that we conducted in the Trial Zero Test. With that reason, we needed to recruit you as soon as possible. That being said, we sent out Nickel to bring you here and have you be assessed with your skills and abilities so we also assigned Nickel and Yttria to test your physical capabilities for further testing when you arrived here earlier this morning."

Allesky widened her eyes and subjected them to Yttria. She now had an idea as to why she was attacked when she first arrived at the agency and how strange it was for her upon first meeting Yttria in person after she entered the room earlier. She realized that the invisible girl who attacked her back at the parking area after Nickel was Yttria herself.

"What do you want from me?? Who are you guys? And what's this trial? Don't you get it? I am having a hard time understanding everything right now~" Allesky exclaimed and she heard a sigh behind her that caught her off guard to the sudden presence of this new unfamiliar person.

She didn't even notice or recognize earlier that he was there.

The new persona drew closer to her side with his hands kept in his pockets.

His streaky, scarlet-colored hair brushed upwards with black streaks and strands which graced his dominating presence and his hazelnut eyes landed on Allesky once.

"It's natural that you won't have any understanding of whatever you just now seen, heard, and known, Thallia. You're a newbie, haven't you yet realized? So don't expect that you'll know right away what this is if you won't listen."

Allesky twitched an eyebrow hearing this guy that she stepped on his foot being offended in a way and was supposed to give him a punch too but the person on the screen spoke yet again to interfere with them.

"Ah~ Here we go... Can all of you now pay attention and listen, please, young teens?? I expect it not to be that the riot which occurred before won't happen for a second time." Said the voice and the four faced the screen with open ears this time but this guy who offended Allesky glared at her once for stepping on his foot.

"Welcome to Apoptosis, Miss. It is now time for you to be given an agent name, I believe."

"I have a name, of course!" Allesky quickly replied but she was interrupted by the guy who stood next to her with that scarlet hair and she wasn't able to say her birth name.

"It's Thallia, haven't I said?" The scarlet-haired guy even uttered out that fumed out a facade of annoyance for Allesky locking the guy in an intense glare as if electric currents now collided between them.

"And where did you get that permission to give me a name?!"

"Oh, Thallia then. If that is what Neon bestowed upon you, so be it. You are now hereby declared a freshman agent of Apoptosis, Agent Thallia. Welcome aboard in Apoptosis."

"Huh?! Wait! I have my own name!" Allesky protested.

"Thallia as in Thallium?" Yttria was heard to have whispered with her despised glare at Allesky.

The skateboard guy only remained silent in calm observance of the three.

"It's final of course. I name people around here." Neon now spoke up.

"But-"

"No buts, Thallia. This is Apoptosis. You can't expose your real identity more than those who already know. Accept it. You're now Agent Thallia and I gave you that name..."

Allesky was unable to say anything more against it upon hearing Neon say that at the same moment he had placed his index finger over Allesky's lips to keep her from uttering out any more words to say.
