I had a pretty fair life on my part for now.

Grew up with my eomma and hyung. My appa never bothered to show up in all these years. Hell might know where he might be.

I never enjoyed my early childhood days, had my reasons 🙂.

But my life was sure interesting 10 years ago, during high school, which is the beginning of all new experiences for teenagers.

I made one dozen friends there, and we pretty much became a group, almost close to becoming a pack.

But minors aren't allowed to do such things. And by the time we became adults, we went on our own ways.

I must say that I have always felt immense gratitude towards them, especially my best friend, for having helped stand on my own feet.

He ignited my passion for dance again and encouraged me to apply for the best Dance academy in the world.

Thanks to his motivation and my efforts, I was accepted to join the Juilliard School of Dance in the United States of America.

Of course that meant I would have to leave my motherland, South Korea and spend the next three years in a foreign country, all alone.

My departure from Korea was very emotional. My hyung had cried his heart out. I hadn't seen him like that in quite a while.

I myself didn't want to leave, but I needed to do something to support myself in the future. And I definitely wasn't ready to take on another course apart from Dance.

So like that I had spent the next three years of my life in the USA. I did struggle with the language there at first, but got the hang of it later on.

I did make friends there also. But they were mostly Asian or half-Asian students. I was kind of surprised seeing a lot of Korean students there.

The day I graduated with the best grades and honors was the best day of my life. My hyung had paid me a surprise visit. That was also another emotional day for me 😢.

Looking at those photos, videos, certificates and trophies brings back a whole hurricane of nostalgia for me.

Before returning to Korea, I had already decided that I would establish my own dance studio. But of course, I needed money for that.

In no regard was I going to bother my hyung and ask for his hard-earned money. So I worked at Be:lift lab as their main choreographer. I also took up the job of a freelance online critique on a famous website "K-world".

As I worked at both these places for two years, I was able to earn enough for investment. I also used the money that I had saved up during college.

With that much money, plus a business loan which I had gotten, I had started building the studio up. The construction took up seven months. I was kind of surprised with the speed, but that was probably because I had hired the best construction agency.

I finally opened the dance studio after a month of it's building, and to my surprise, a lot of students joined in. I could say that it was partially because brother's influence. He is pretty famous in the neighborhood.

Another reason was that I had built my reputation as an aspiring dance teacher immediately upon my return to Korea😌.

I had taken a few short-term classes, which was itself enough to gain the trust of the people.

Now, it's been five years since I opened the studio, and I have had a decent amount of success and money😊.

But above all, I'm proud of being able to inspire the youth interested in dance to continue their passion with ease and confidence. It reminds me of my journey, but a happier version of it.

I completely forgot the invitation which I had gotten from one of my dear high school friend, Kim Mingyu.

It states itself as a reunion party with a surprise.

At first, I was surprised that Mingyu knew about my arrival, but I completely forgot that both his brothers have minimal contact with my hyung as they are in the same company.

Anyway, I'm ready and excited to attend to this party, as I haven't seen my old pals in quite a long time.
