Chapter 16 - A Dream
Nina Sze
Ahh.... Aub-Aubery... ahhh... don't stop...
Aubery Kung
I wasn't planning to, my little wildcat.
Aubery proceeded to insert himself into his lover, making her cry out. Her hands gripped his back as he rocked her back and worth.
Nina Sze
I love you, Aubery... I've always... ahhh... loved you.
Aubery Kung
I know. You are mine, say it.
Nina Sze
I'm yours. I've always been yours.
Aubery Kung
Now, how about we make another baby? I want a girl this time so that I can spoil her rotten, wifey.
Nina Sze
Yes! Let's continue until the sun sets tomorrow evening.
Aubery Kung
Oh, I like the sound of that!
Then, Aubery started to rock the bed back and forth so fast that the posts broke. He heard his lover scream before he woke up, sweaty and damp.
Aubery Kung
It was... just a dream. A terribly... wet... dream...
He grabbed his phone and tried calling me
However, I wasn't answering.
Aubery Kung
I'll try in thirty minutes.
He put the phone to his ear and waited until someone picked the phone up.
Shiro Sze
Oh, it's you. What do you want?
Aubery Kung
Where's your mother?
Shiro Sze
She's in the shower. Why?
He then gulped and imagined me in a wet bathrobe, making out with him in the bathtub.
Shiro Sze
That silence... you're thinking of something pervy again.
Aubery Kung
Why would you care? Give me to Nina.
Shiro then huffed and knocked onto the door of the bathroom, which opened.
Nina Sze
Aubery? What's wrong?
Aubery Kung
Go into the bathroom and close the door.
I did what I was told and then asked him:
Aubery Kung
Describe in detail what you are wearing... and what you are feeling.
Nina Sze
I'm wearing a white and black jumpsuit with a beret. Why?
Aubery Kung
I had a dream about us sleeping...
Nina Sze
I don't believe the sleeping part.
Aubery Kung
You indeed know me too well. But just a small reminder that I'm going to bed you when I get back.
I then hung up, angrily. He's such a pervert! He's so much of a pervert that he's making me miss him ever more.
On the other side, Aubery was smiling. He has always been surrounded by lies and doubts but one thing he knew for sure was that he loved me more than anyone in the world.
Meanwhile, at home, I grabbed my purse and walked out.
Shiro Sze
Mummy? Where are you going?
Nina Sze
I'm going out to meet with a friend. Stay with your uncle, okay?
And just like that, I left the house. Walking down the street and heading towards the mall, I captured people's gazes immediately.
Just as I approached the café where I was due to meet Alfred, a familiar voice resonated across the corridor.
Charles Mo
Nina? Is that you?
Nina Sze
Charles? What are you doing here?
Charles Mo
I remembered that you liked the coffee here so I was sort of waiting for you to come, I guess.
Nina Sze
Charles, you are marrying my sister. Please stop acting this way around me. I'm your sister-in-law.
Nina Sze
Well, not anymore.
Charles Mo
Exactly! You know that I don't love Dora and I can tell that Aubery Kung is a bad man for you. If it's money that you want, I've got plenty.
My face dimmed, turning into a scowl.
Nina Sze
You think that I'm some cheap woman who only has money on her mind? You disgust me.
Those sharp words pierced through his heart, making him feel terrible inside.
Charles Mo
I didn't mean it-
Nina Sze
But that's how I perceived it. Just leave me alone and move on.
Dora Sze
You little vixen!
Dora Sze
Haven't you had enough of seducing my fiancé?
Dora came from wherever dirt hole she climbed up from, shouting at me like she still had the right to call Charles her fiancé.
Charles Mo
Dora, our engagement is over. My father announced it this morning.
Dora Sze
But, Charlie... it was a huge misunderstanding!
Charles Mo
Don't call me that! It sure didn't seem like a misunderstanding!
Nina Sze
I've got someone that I need to meet so I'm just going to-
Dora Sze
Trying to escape? I don't think so! You think that just because you are Aubery Kung's bed warmer doesn't mean that everything you do is justified! You seduce everyone around you, you little vixen!
Alfred
My Lady? Is everything okay?
Alfred then walked out of the café, holding the documents that I had asked him to retrieve.
Dora Sze
Ah! Look at you, sleeping with older men now!
Charles Mo
Y-You... you are the representative of the Midnight Group, Alfred Desanges!
Alfred
My, you would remember someone as insignificant as me? How quaint. This young lady is a close friend with my Master. Do you have a problem with her?
Charles looked at me with wide eyes.
Dora Sze
Don't listen to him, Charlie! She probably hired him to say that!
Alfred
Well, it's a good thing that I'm not seeking your approval, Miss. Here are the documents that you requested, My Lady. My Master sends regards.
Nina Sze
Thank you, Alfred. Sorry for the trouble!
And just like that, he walked away. Dora seemed furious and Charles seemed to be even more in awe with me. I then turned around and walked away.
Charles Mo
Stay away from me! And my name is Charles. We are no longer engaged and I have no ties with you anymore! I had someone burn that evidence yesterday. You have nothing over me any longer! Bye, Dora!
And just like that, he disappeared too. Dora clenched her fists angrily, murmuring:
Dora Sze
Nina Sze... this is all your fault. I'm going to make you pay!
While I walked home, I opened the documents that Alfred had given me. Apparently, the orphanage head sold the necklace to an auction house in town to a Russian man. She had no photographs of the necklace but said that the auction house might have one.
Nina Sze
Interesting... we've got a trail.
I walked home and when I opened the door, I heard Shiro typing away at his computer.
Nina Sze
Whatcha up to, kiddo?
Shiro Sze
O-oh... nothing much, Mummy. Can I have rice for dinner?
Nina Sze
Sure! And how about some chicken curry along with it?
As I went into the kitchen, he opened the screen of his laptop up again. On the screen were records of the Sze's financial statements.
He then mumbled under his breath:
Shiro Sze
Whoever bullies my mummy will never see the light of day again!
Shiro Sze
Especially the Sze's.
As I got into bed, my phone buzzed. I thought that it was Aubery so I picked it up without another thought.
Unknown
I heard that you were searching for the Diamond Heart.
Diamond? Could he be referring to my diamond necklace?
Unknown
I'm willing to sell it for four million. How about it?
Nina Sze
How do I know that it's the real deal?
Unknown
I guess that you don't have any guarantee. Take the gamble.
A gamble? Four million wasn't a big sum but giving that sort of money to someone mad like a terrorist group would be terrible.
Nina Sze
I need to see it. Send a photo.
Unknown
Yeah, not going to happen. Come to the Ocean Harbour tonight at midnight. Alone and with four million in cash.
On that note, they hung up. Should I try it? What to do...
