Meaningless heartbreak!

"Miss. Darcy, we have bad news!"

"What is it?"

"I- I don't know how I should say this..." and just as the first maiden was struggling to speak, the second maiden steps in. "...You should listen to the radio."

(Turns on the radio)

Darcy falls to the couch in complete despair. Her mind went blank, because what could she possibly think of? That history was repeating again? Probably nothing. Holding her hands together in a prayer against her chest, she starts shedding tears. A crybaby you would think, only if something like that happened to you, would you still say that Darcy was overreacting?

" Darcy! Are you alright? Calm down please. We'll figure this out." Kristoff says, kneeling on the ground as he holds her hands.

KRISTOFF- (thinks to himself -: "At last the day has come and I have to witness her crying for some man. And that man is not me; not yet! ")

" Kris! I want to see Luca... How must he be doing right now?I hope he's okay. I... Don't know what to do right now..."

"Darcy, Darcy! Calm down first! Okay?"

A little words from Kristoff and Darcy were calm;who else would calm her down if not her only friend? He has always been with her and if not him, no one would know her so well. She was a rollercoaster of emotions, and her day never passes without a scream and a little cry.

Kristoff knew what would happen next if he didn't do anything. A grown baby crying on the couch was what he was gonna witness next. He sighs and orders the guards, "Prepare the car! We're moving in a bit."

MAIDEN 2- But Sir, I don't think it's a very great idea. She's not in a good condition. After what happened yesterda-

- It's okay! I have decided to go and I will go. My health is not a problem.

MAIDEN 1- (says to maiden 2 in a whisper) Idiot, why did you say that?

MAIDEN 2- What?...It's our duty to look after her. I'm not ready for any lectures from Mr. Duan.

The next minute Kristoff folds his sleeves and they are ready to go to the hospital. As soon as they reach the hospital, they go about searching for Luca in every room that was in the hospital.

Finally after a long search they find Luca and Kristoff leaves them to themselves and goes out of the room. Darcy might be a spoiled girl, but she was just as kind as her mother. That was what her father loved in her, also because she resembled her mother so much. She had those milk-white skin and long and lustrous black hair. Pretty brown eyes and, a beautiful figure. Maybe that was what attracted all the boys in the university.

In the hospital room, Darcy walks over to Luca, sits beside him and gently holds his hand. "Hey.. " Darcy shyly greeted, as if she'd never spoken to him. Luca chuckles, because what else could he do. She was always shy to talk to him since the first day they met. "What are you laughing about Luca?" "Nothing. Just seeing you makes me happy!" Luca pauses for a while and slowly pulls away his hand from Darcy's. "Darcy, I've been wanting to tell you something.. " "Sure, go ahead what is it?" the fact that Luca pulled away his hand doesn't bother Darcy much, because he'd always been a little distant from her. Was it because he felt uncomfortable? Or was it because he never loved her? Yes it was because he never loved her. "Darcy, I don't know how to put this but, umm.. I don't think this is working!" Darcy is taken aback by his words, " What.. Do you mean this is not working? Do you want to end this relationship?" "Yes Darcy, I want to end this. There has never been a dull moment with you in my life. It has been a good experience, and I'll cherish us forever. But unfortunately, during the whole thing I never felt the need to protect you. I could never replace Kristoff. You might not be seeing it, but I see that I or anyone in that case can never replace him. I'm sorry".

And now, what was Darcy supposed to say? She stays stunned, unable to process what was happening. "I... Uhh.." and after a long pause the answer finally comes "Okay!"

"Is that it? Okay?" "Yea, Okayy! Since you didn't feel the need to protect me and since you think that I and Kristoff have things going on between us and since, you think this won't work out, you just gave up instead of sorting things out. So that's it, I have done my part and lets call this off peacefully. I guess forever was just part of your bad jokes."

"Darcy, you don't have to take it that way. I never meant to hurt you... It's just-". " It's okay, I understand. It'll be absurd if I force you to stay. Life has decided to take a turn and I guess it is my time to take control. I don't want to meet with an accident."

SCENE SHIFTS TO 2024

DARCY- and well, what a heartbreak it was. It was February and the year just had to start that way. I wasn't feeling the pain that I was supposed to feel. I cried the whole way home, questioning why I didn't feel the pain. I didn't cry for Luca, at all. I was so confused, and it made me question if I had ever loved Luca. But for some reason it hurt me because, soon I found out that he was engaged to one of our classmates. Always a blonde girl right? Guess Olivia Rodrigo and I had the same problem haha..
