Bride of Youngest Rajvanshi
Not a stone heart.
Same day at night:
Meera finally finished the chores. As she reached her bedroom, she couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling—nausea and dizziness creeping over her. She ignored it, thinking maybe she was just too tired. She took a cold shower, but it didn’t help. As she lay down on her bed, the exhaustion took over, and she unknowingly fell asleep.
At midnight, when Vedanth reached home, exhaustion weighed heavily on him. The events of the day had drained him, but he couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief as he stepped inside the comfort of his bedroom. He looked over at Meera, peacefully sleeping, her hair spread across the pillow. The sight of her calmed him, even though his body begged for rest.
He quickly took a shower, trying to wash away the fatigue, his mind still occupied by the day’s events. When he finished, he wrapped himself in a towel and approached the bed, ready to lie down and forget the world for a while. But as he glanced at Meera once more, something caught his attention.
Sweat beaded on her forehead, her skin glistening despite the cool air circulating from the AC. His brows furrowed in concern. How could she be sweating if the room is so cool?
