It's been days since that incident where Nick was admitted into the hospital, and he has still not got his consciousness. I visit him from time to time and Mr. Christopher too went with his usual schedule, his mother and sister keep him company alternative, and sometimes I too keep him company.

Today, again I was on my way to the hospital and saw that man again with Mr.Christopher. I didn't pay any heed and gravitated towards Nick room. When I reached at the door, I was praying and hoping for him to be awake and smiling as his usual self anyway I clutched the door handle and opened it. I was stunned to watch the sight, Nick was actually sitting and blinking, his eyes met mine and tears roll down on my cheeks. He smiled at me watching me. "Hey" Nick said with a smile. I can see how he has become so thin, and his face has also become pale.

"Hey", I said looking at him like I have never seen him in my entire life. I ran towards him and hugged him. "Ouch, relax miss I am the one who is hurt". I realized and liberated him from my grip. Tears were strolling down on my face. He wiped my tears with smile and said," it's okay, I am fine now. Where is my family"? "I will call them" I replied. Within half an hour all his family and mine too came to meet Nick and everyone was glad he came out of coma, doctor was being called he checked Nick and said he is fine now, and he just needed some rest and care and within two to three months his cast on legs will be off too. Everyone seemed happy and was laughing and smiling with him. Watching Nick smile again and talk like before made me build up tears again, but I didn't want to make any attention towards me, so I excused myself.

I was relieved and at the same time puzzled why I am being like this but keeping my confusing heart aside I went to Nick room again where everyone was there. "Alright, I will take my leave I have to go meet the doctor again and leave for the office". Mr. Christopher said and with him his wife accompanied him, Jenna had to leave for her school and my family went for the work too. It was just me and Nick.

"Did you miss me"? Nick said looking straight into her eyes and smiling just like before like he was teasing her but for some unknown reason Rachel doesn't find it offensive in fact, she was glad she can hear his teasing again and just some days ago she would have done anything to hear all that, so she did not get offend at all. If it was some other time like before she would have snapped at him then had there, but it was different this time. She doesn't realize that she was lost in her thoughts and tears were streaming down. Nick said "hold on, what's with you crying again. I told you I am fine and why do you look so weak and thin, aren't I the one who was hospitalized" he said while grabbing her hand and pulling Rachel closer to him. Rachel too didn't take her hand back and moved closer to him.

"I am fine". These are the only words I could form that time. Nick wiped my tears, and I was just staring at him, but I realized I am doing it for a long time. I divert my gaze from him. When Nick was in the hospital I realized I used to loathe him not because he did something, but I find it annoying how he always manage to be at the center of everything, or maybe I was envious of him being with those girls.

"How are you feeling now"? I asked.

"fine, so how is college going" He said.

"All good and I have already informed the faculty and submitted necessary documents for your leave, and you can rest till you get better". I said in one go.

I could see him smiling and I smiled back. We talked about some other things and about our friends at college. It was nice talking to him normally.

"None of your girlfriends are here to see you, or I shall send invitation to them". I said taunting. He didn't say anything but to laugh.

"Why are you laughing, did I say something wrong or do you really want me to invite them". I said making faces.

"No, you don't have to and who told you they were my girlfriends. They were not" he said straight looking at my face. I couldn't believe the audacity of this man still lying about them when I clearly saw him hanging out with those girls and that girl crying and abusing him. I gave him a stern look and said" stop, you don't have to lie, and I can't believe the audacity you have got there". He was about to speak when I cut him off and said"I don't care about your personal life, you can do whatever you want but don't lie". As I completed my sentence he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him and landed straight onto his lap. I tried to get up, but his grip was tight and I couldn't, so I gave him a look. "Why do you think I am lying and have you ever heard it from my mouth saying I got a girlfriend or girlfriends, Have you ever seen me bringing somebody to my house or to my room" He said with a straight face and i couldn't agree more because he has never said all those things from his own mouth but, I opened my mouth to argue and this time he cut me off.

"I haven't invited anyone else to my room except you". He said with a flirtatious tone.

"what do you mean, I only went to your room when uncle asked it was not like you are stating ". I was surprised with his statement that I forgot I was in his lap. I realised"let me go" I said showing my anger. He just laughed and let it go.
