Mothers

I was looking at the moon when Alfred entered the room,

“Master, dinner soon will be ready 

But with a low voice, I said “ok Alfred, I'll be there”

When Alfred left,

I was glaring at the full moon.

“The moon looks beautiful, I wish you were with me to see this ‘Amah’,” I said to myself.

Aether's past,

My mother left me in an alley when I was 7 months old, I never got to know who she was or how she looked.

That time she found me, Amah or should I say lucy woods, a caretaker in an orphanage,

She had black short hair and was dull but at the same time beautiful blue eyes.

She took me in her arms and I don't know why I calmed down, like I was in my mother's arm,

She took care of me in the orphanage with all the other kids,

We both used to spend our time on the roof of the orphanage, it was our favourite spot,

“The moon looks beautiful” she used to say when it was full moon, she said it again that day,

“You are more beautiful than the moon” replied I, 

She took a bit time and said to me,

“Kaito, do you know what makes someone or something beautiful”

In reply I said “Maybe if that thing or person is eye catching,” 

With a warm smile she replied 

“For being eye catching you need to be strong in this harsh world” 

“Being strong makes you beautiful?” I asked her,

Then she took me in her arms and said 

“Be strong kaito, to protect” she said,

“I will, Amah” I replied without even understanding what she meant.

It was like I was holding on to her like a leaf attached to the tree, without realising the wind can take me away, 

And it did.

Scene change: a few days later in the orphanage,

“Where is Amah” I asked the female caretaker, and she replied holding my shoulders,

“Your Amah is no more” 

What was it, I felt emptiness, sadness, 

When tears rolled down from one of my eyes, 

Finding out the strongest woman I knew committed suicide,

What was it for, for her abusive husband,

I don't know, but the last thing I knew when the police arrived at the orphanage and asked my name,

And then said “Oh! So you're the boy she wanted to adopt" 

I thought, what! she wanted to adopt me, but never did because of that bastard husband of her, And I asked the officer only one thing

“Where is her husband now?" 

Maybe I shouldn't have asked this question, 

Because the day after I was holding the knife covered in blood because of this question,

Scene change: present, in the library,

“Now I've told you everything so tell me who you really are?” 

The transparent blue window appeared in front of me, with the sentence

[Such a tragic story, what happened next]

“Shut the fuck up and tell me who are you really”

[The creator of—]

“Tell me the truth”

[ I am you ] 

“Don't you give me that ‘genjutsu kaisan’ dialogue” I yelled.

“So you also know about my previous world culture”

I sigh~

What an asshole I thought, though he helped me a lot to get information about this world,

Because I was happy I got to live a new life.

But that time,

 this message appeared 

‘kill to gain nyx’

[It is what it means]  he replied to my question saying this shit.

I sigh~ “Thought so” I said 

“Who are you talking to?” My mother appeared behind me without making a noise,

I jumped,

Did.. did she heard my  thoughts,

“Yes, I heard you” she replied, 

Ha! But, how she knows what I'm thinking.

She kept smiling,
