Celine waltzes into the room with her signature confidence, a mischievous glint in her eyes. Hearing the conversation between Arlo and Henry, she promptly interjects with her own idea.

(smiling) You know what you should do, Arlo? Start a fresh start as an idol trainee!

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

(immediately glares at Celine upon hearing her suggestion)

Arlo Everett

(eyebrows rise in surprise, the notion of becoming an idol catching him off guard)

Henry, meanwhile, shoots Celine a disapproving look.

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

(skeptical) Are you serious, Celine?

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

You want him to become an idol trainee again?

Celine Everett [MC's Mom]

(pouts, feigning innocence)

Celine Everett [MC's Mom]

What? I'm just suggesting something that could give him a fresh start and bring him back into the limelight.

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

(rolls his eyes, clearly not on board with Celine's idea)

An idol trainee is hardly the best idea right now. He's still recovering, both physically and mentally.

It was time for Arlo a.k.a. Vin's daily checkup. So Doctor suggests both of them to wait outside the ward.

As Celine and Henry step out of the room, their conversation continues, now with a more intense tone.

Mae [MC's Best Friend]

(watching from afar)

Celine Everett [MC's Mom]

Why are you acting so negative about this?

Celine Everett [MC's Mom]

Being an idol trainee would be perfect for him!

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

Perfect? Are you listening to yourself?

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

He's still recovering from the accident, and you're talking about tossing him back into the idol industry?

Celine bristles at Henry's words, clearly frustrated by his disagreement.

I'm not saying he should dive right back in!

But becoming an idol trainee would give him a chance to start anew, to find his place again.

(pinches the bridge of his nose, trying to keep his frustration in check)

And what about his own interests and desires? Have you even considered that?

(huffs, her confidence faltering slightly) Of course I have. I just think this would be a great opportunity—

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

(cuts her off, his voice firm yet tinged with irritation) Great opportunity?

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

Or is this just your way of fulfilling your own ambitions?

Celine splutters for a moment, caught off guard by Henry's pointed question. She takes a deep breath, composing herself before responding.

Celine Everett [MC's Mom]

That's not true. I have Arlo's best interests at heart.

Henry raises an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced.

Do you really? Or is it all about your own reputation and image as a talented celebrity whose heir has to be a famous personality in this damn industry too?

Celine's eyes flash with anger, but she manages to keep her voice steady.

Celine Everett [MC's Mom]

How dare you? I care about Arlo. I don't just see dollar signs when I look at him.

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

(lets out a bitter laugh, crossing his arms)

Henry Everett [MC's Dad]

Oh, really? Then why are you so hell-bent on turning him into another pop sensation?

Mae observes the heated argument between Celine and Henry, her heart heavy with sympathy for Arlo. Memories of their troubled past flit through her mind, and she can't help but recall the countless days when Arlo was subjected to his parents' constant bickering.

[Inner dialogue] They're at it again... arguing like there's no tomorrow just after an accident. It's like they can't stop their fights even when he's lying in that hospital bed... trying to escape their constant arguments was a big reason for his accident.

Mae's fists clench at her sides, her eyes fixed on Celine and Henry as their voices rise in anger. The pain of knowing the suffering Arlo endured in his old life weighs heavily on her heart.

[Inner dialogue] They never even considered how their fights affected him... how much he suffered growing up. Even now, they continue their bickering despite everything he's been through. It's maddening.

Mae struggles to contain her own anger, desperately wanting to intervene and put an end to Celine and Henry's argument. Yet, deep down, she knows that interfering would only escalate the situation further.

[inner dialogue] I want to stop them, to make them realize the pain they've caused Arlo. But they're both too stubborn, too lost in their own egos and ambitions. How can I make them see the damage they've inflicted upon him?

As Mae watches Henry and Celine continue their heated argument, she murmurs to herself, her voice tinged with a hint of helplessness.

Mae [MC's Best Friend]

(softly) Now it's too late... Arlo... wherever you are, I hope you've found some peace from all this pain... all this suffering.

Her words hang heavily in the air, a silent plea for her friend's well-being, even if he's no longer in this world or maybe in another world. The argument between Celine and Henry continues, their voices gradually fading into the background as Mae's thoughts remain fixed on Arlo.

Mae vows silently to herself, watching as Celine and Henry storm off in opposite directions.

(takes a deep breath, determination etched on her face)

[Inner dialogue] I won't let Vin suffer like Arlo did. I'll do everything I can to support him, to make this second chance worth it. I'll be there for him, no matter what.
